The location of the hotel is without question excellent – in the immediate vicinity are beautiful hiking trails and nature that invite you to linger. Unfortunately, the house can in no way keep up with this quality.
As soon as you arrived, it became clear that hospitality is apparently not a lived value here. There was no greeting whatsoever – instead, we were immediately advised in an unfriendly tone to settle the outstanding amount, as if it were according to the motto: “Pay up – and leave right away.” An unpleasant and unprofessional atmosphere right at the start.
Although 50% of the total amount had already been paid in advance, there was no apparent effort to obtain a positive reception or a minimum of courtesy.
The room itself was far from the pictures or description on the website. It was extremely small – two slender adults could hardly walk past each other. Even if the cleanliness was fine, the furniture was visibly worn out, the beds equipped with sagged, much too soft mattresses. The tiny bathroom was barely usable: In the narrow shower, normal movement was almost impossible, and the sink was also more dollhouse-sized.
Breakfast was simply unreasonable: A minimal offering, limited to wafer-thin Emmentaler, some bread, butter and tea. Coffee was available, but simply inedible due to the poor bean quality. Sausage was only served after multiple requests on the third day. Although eggs were offered, they could not compensate for the poor selection.
The kitchen was initially not in operation and was also only opened from the third day – but then at significantly inflated prices that were out of proportion to the quality offered.
Anyone considering booking here should read the reviews thoroughly in advance. There are several alternatives in the immediate vicinity with a significantly better Price quality ratio. In my case, the difference for comparable offers with breakfast was just €20, with significantly higher standards and friendlier Service.
Conclusion: The location is great – the stay was unfortunately not
