Simply wonderful

We loved our week at the Alpenbad. After years of going to Ramsau we booked the hotel as a change from previous years and were delighted we did. Our family had 3 apartments which were well equipped, comfortable with two bedrooms each and fantastic views. Breakfast was superb, but a little pricey, so on some days we all occupied one flat and had a hearty breakfast there. Dinner has a set menu and à la carte option but is really superb and you get hearty portions of everything. Tamara & Cristian could not do enough for us, and went over and above the call of duty, even rescuing our hire car from a deep snow drift. Set in the middle of the valley with epic views on every side, superb skiing and plenty to do, this is the place to spend your winter break.

A lunch favourite

We stop here regularly during our XC skiing holiday for coffee or lunch.
They have a great range of cakes and soups as well as typical dishes of the area if you want something more substantial.
There apfel strudel with vanilla sauce is the best and the kaiserschmarrn is good too.

A SHEER DELIGHT & A HIDDEN GEM !

Alpenbad Pension was the best accommodation we had in our entire trip across Austria. The pension is run by the incredibly sweet and affectionate Familie Schrempf. We absolutely loooooved the property and the surrounding. You can see the magnificent snow clad mountains from your apartment window. Our sole purpose to visit Ramsau was to see the Dachstein Glacier and the Stairway to Nothingness. We went in September and were greeted with unexpected rains and snow fall (at the mountain).we were not prepared for either. Our host Tamara was kind enough to lend us her son's snow shoes for our 3 year old toddler. We were over whelmed by the gesture. The apartment was well equipped with all the necessities including a proper kitchen with all kinds of dishes and equipment. This really helped us with our kid. Loved their adorable little restaurant. Overall an fabulous experience and we will look forward to visiting it again.
P:S- We were the first Indians to visit the Pension :)

Very good food

Staying there for the second time. Everything is o.k. there. In summer they have a nice swimming-pool, so you can refresh on hot days, and a big garden to sunbath.. In winter they have a sauna .A lot of hiking tours nearby, for everyone, from very easy ones to climbing. And a lot of other attractions. They have rooms and appartements, every room or appartement has a balcony. it is run by a very friendly family.You get a card , with which you can have a lot of attractions (cable.car, , busses, entertainment,..) in the region for free. For kids there is a nice playground. We came there with friends in August and we sure will return another year or maybe in winter ,because the region is a hot-spot for cross-country-skiing.

Exceeded all expectations

It was a random selection resulting in a weeks stay that surpassed all my expectations.
Location superb, food (a varied and interesting menu to a very high standard, even the cakes are all home cooked), rooms and hospitality are exceptional. Even a personal menu in English (I was the only Brit staying that week).
No hesitation in recommending the Pension.
