Wonderful historic hotel in the center of Vienna.

My fourteen-year-old daughter and I spent a long weekend (from Thursday to Sunday) in Vienna and stayed at this wonderful hotel. In the lobby, in the hallways, and in the rooms, you can feel the charm of the past of this historic building, with all the comforts of modernity. Room tidy, very clean and quiet, excellent buffet breakfast, efficient and friendly staff. The location is more than central (one minute from St. Stephen's Cathedral, ten from the Hofburg, a stone's throw from the subway stop). I definitely recommend it.

Grazie infinite per aver condiviso questa meravigliosa recensione sul Suo soggiorno a Vienna insieme a Sua figlia.
Siamo davvero felici che abiate percepito il fascino storico della nostra struttura e che abbiate apprezzato il perfetto connubio tra tradizione e comfort moderni. Sapere che la pulizia, la silenziosità della camera e la nostra colazione a buffet abbiano contribuito a rendere speciale il vostro fine settimana lungo è per noi la soddisfazione più grande.
La nostra posizione centrale è pensata proprio per permettere ai nostri ospiti di esplorare le meraviglie di Vienna, come la Cattedrale di Santo Stefano e l'Hofburg, con la massima comodità.
Speriamo di potervi ospitare nuovamente per un'altra splendida vacanza di famiglia!

Bad experience due to theft personnel

Were here 2 nights room is old bulbous.
They advise you to park your car in parking garage 30 min. Walk from hotel they get commission from, while at 5 min. Walk there is a cheaper garage
After we slept 2 nights in hotel graben we packed the suitcases in the room my wife also did envelope with €2500.- and 2 passports in the suitcase side.
Downstairs everything arranged
Car at the door bell boy picked up our bags and brought to car
Suitcases in car and unpacked when they get home
Money and passports turned up missing
4 x contacted hotel do not take their responsibility and say every time we screen staff
The only one who touched our bags is the bell

1 and 1 = 2
Don't trust this hotel
Do not engage in compensation after theft
We will investigate this even further and keep you informed

Great location, clean room, and very friendly staff.

The hotel is centrally located just a few meters from Graben and perhaps a minute walk to Stephansplatz, the geographical center of Vienna. You walk everywhere to the main museums, shopping, cafes, restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Rooms are equipped with everything that you need, classic period furniture, clean, comfortable size room and a modern bathroom.
The street is quiet (off Graben) and a very safe neighborhood.
I highly recommend for single, couples, family.
If you stay on this hotel you don’t need to buy public transport tickets, which I found expensive at €3.20 per ride.
Even Belvedere is a 30 min max walk.

We were moved to their other hotel

We booked this hotel for an anniversary trip. When we arrived we were told by the receptionist in broken English “ I have some good news and bad news” the bad news is we don’t have a room for you the good news we can accommodate as our sister hotel “ hotel Regina” this is around 2k away from this hotel and on the edge of the centre. I have no idea why we were bumped but reading other reviews this appears to be a common occurrence for various reasons! Very poor, would not recommend for this reason.

The hotel is clean and in an excellent location. However, the rooms are relatively small, and since the building is quite old, some of the facilities appear dated.
