I did like the hotel and the stuff and everything else was good. The only one issue was the toilet it’s uncomfortable toilet. The rest everything it’s good

The Athens Tiare was a nice little hotel easily accessed by train. The Omonia Square was a fun spot and there were lots of walkable shops and places to see.

THEY CHARGED DOUBLE THE LOCAL TAX AGAINST THE BOOKING TERMS!!!
The accommodation was fully paid for at the time of booking. According to my booking confirmation and invoice, the only amount payable at the hotel was the local tax, which was clearly stated as €20 for the entire two-night stay.
However, upon arrival, the reception staff insisted that I pay €40, claiming that Hotels.com had made a mistake and had only charged the local tax for one night. I showed them both my invoice and booking confirmation, which clearly indicated that the €20 local tax applied to the entire reservation. Despite this, they refused to honor the booking terms.
I suggested that they contact Hotels.com directly to clarify the discrepancy, but they refused to do so and instead insisted that I pay the additional amount. As a result, I was forced to pay €40 instead of the €20 stated in my booking.
I found this handling of the situation to be highly unprofessional. The hotel should have verified the issue with the booking platform rather than placing the burden on the guest and requiring payment that contradicted the confirmed reservation details.

My third time at the hotel, lovely staff, cleanliness of the hotel and room, check-in process, breakfast, everything was excellent. I will choose to come a fourth time.

Restaurant was good, there wasn’t any pool or amenities like that, but it was walking distance to a lot of things. We had a beautiful view to the fountain in the center Square. The staff was very helpful in getting us a tour.
