We will definitely come again!
Close to the airport, lovely location on beach , friendly and warm-welcoming staff, great selection of Greek food, clean and comfortable rooms we came two years ago and enjoyed our stay very much, and have done so again this time.

Pleasant hotel but not lively enough for us
We stayed 1 week at the Neptuno. Nothing to complain about regarding the service: very clean rooms, dining with a variety of choices (except for the desserts, it's always the same thing).
The hotel is small but it has everything you need. The big plus is the private beach. We are used to big hotels with lots of entertainment. Here it is not a very lively hotel, except in the evening when there is always something at the hotel bar.
The big downside is the room, which is very poorly soundproofed from the hallway. We clearly slept very poorly. And that is a big problem for a vacation...
The staff is very helpful.
In short, for me it is rather a hotel for adults who want a hotel without a big entertainment team and who want to go to the beach a lot, a beach that is not supervised, in any case I did not see anyone, nor at the pool for that matter.
We had to check out of the room at 11am, which is super early to be able to go back to the beach before our transfer (the restrooms are super small for changing and enjoying your last day), which means you don't get to enjoy your last day. In other hotels, there was 1 specific place with a shower and spacious restrooms to change before catching the flight.
Personally, I will not return to this hotel, not lively enough for me.

Regarding safety, we would like to clarify that our pool areas are supervised by trained hotel staff members who act as pool attendants and ensure that safety procedures are followed. In addition, the beach area is covered by lifeguard services provided by the Municipality of Heraklion during the designated operating hours.
Concerning your departure day, our standard check-out time is 11:00 in order to allow sufficient time for room preparation for arriving guests. Nevertheless, guests are welcome to continue using the hotel's facilities until their transfer time.

Very clean hotel but extremely noisy.
Hotel located in Heraklion, modern and clean. 1 pool, a beautiful sandy beach, it is a hotel on a human scale.
Rather for couples because there is not really any entertainment for children, or even no entertainment at all. The food is good, the room is decent. The big downside is that the rooms are very poorly insulated from the noise in the hallway. It is unbearable. And it is really a big problem. You get the impression that the housekeeper is cleaning in the room when she is near the door. People who make noise in the evening when coming back, we hear them as if they were in the room. The rooms are very clean but very small.
It is also the first time that I see cleaning carts left in plain sight of guests, not to mention the trash cans when the rooms are being cleaned.
The staff is very kind, and we are having a pleasant stay nonetheless.

We had a really great stay.Very friendly staff,good service, delicious food and spotless clean.And a fantastic bartender which knew exactly what to offer .,his name is Michaelis)))
The only things we didn't like was the photographers in the reception which were taking photos of our 13 year old daughter without asking us.And the dirty ️

Sunset, sandy beach, and fun
We came from cold Germany, to the warmest and nice place in Crete. Our hotel was just a step from the beach front, very easily to access the beach. Well amenities in the hotel room. At the afternoon you watch at the sunset , and at the evenings oh I forgot it to mention , about the nice entertainment, especially that one with disco dj night, really fun for all , was nice holidays. Crete is definitely the super Mediterranean paradise.
