Authentic Cretan hospitality in a traditional village
Villa Mala offers a genuine taste of traditional Crete in a charming village setting. Enjoying lunch on the village terrace creates a relaxed, local atmosphere that is full of character.
The traditional Cretan food was good, but what truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional service. The warm hospitality and personal attention made us feel very welcome and turned a pleasant meal into a memorable day.

Disappointment
We have booked this place based on the pictures on booking.com showing a luxurious accommodation with a deluxe jacuzzi and an amazing view over the mountains and the sea.
Unfortunately the place in real doesn’t match the pictures which are probably decades old . We ended up in an outdated accommodation, what had to be a luxurious place once was not maintained, old, dirty place! What supposed to be a deluxe jacuzzi once was a disgusting thing you would not even get into.
While we had definitely one of the best foods ever in the taverna which belonged to the same owners and people there were very nice and friendly, it didn’t justify how disappointed we were with the apartment!
The rooms were so hot with the airco hardly working, we hardly slept and if you opened the windows, you smelled the food from the taverna and all the noise of chatter till midnight.
We had booked the place for 5 days and made 50% down payment, but it was so disappointing that we wanted to leave the next morning already. Unfortunately there was no body around that spoke English that we could explain the situation .
We called the company which the owners have outsourced the service to, we have not get any refund for the extra nights that we paid and never stayed!

Situated at the top of a mountain, the view is breathtaking. The apartment is warm and inviting. the people and food are full of love.

Fabulous fabulous fabulous
Wonderful stay. It was so welcoming and Beautiful. The food was AMAZING! We would come back here in a heartbeat.
The views were fab toward the sea.
This hotel, is not perfect, parking could be better, it's a little hair-raising parking out front, on a hill, on a village road up a mountain, for the uninitiated-what I wouldn't have given for a parking lot! One of the nights there was family. A very loud family in the room next door and we could hear everything. But honestly it doesn't take away from how much we LOVED this stay. You should stay here, especially if you are a foodie. Fabulous!
And I miss little hermes to scratch at dinner, and the kitties too.. Oh breakfast was just.. Ah the coffee is so strong and great, and the cheese pie, and the Greek yogurt. Still think about breakfast here.
