Family run with fantastic staff.

We were worried about this visit. If the Beach was good enough and if there were enough restaurants nearby. Well the beach is pebble and not for us, but it is a lovely walk along the beach road. Yes there are plenty of restaurants nearby, but the Hotel has an amazing chef and with his staff done a four course new every day which were amazing. Breakfast was well catered for too. Also lunch time snacks. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, making you feel relaxed. Rooms are clean and tidy. It's a must. Some people won't like the busy road but didn't bother us. Well done all.

Absolute Gem!!

What a fantastic hotel.!!! Expected little, & got a LOT.!!!
Firstly- SPOTLESSLY clean.!! Everywhere.!!
As a manager for a cleaning company I’m always looking for cleaning faults… found none!!!
They have a FANTASTIC chef… ‘Stavros’ ( featured on TV with (Judith Chalmers ) I’m sure he’d show pics if you ask!! There’s NOTHING he can’t cook to perfection.!!!
ALL the staff are lovely….. especially ‘Bella’ who’s around in the afternoons/eves…. She’s an absolute delight.! (Try her ice cream frappe!!)..
Would we return….. DEFINITELY.!! What a bargain & what a ‘find’ !!! First time to Rhodes…. & won’t be our last!!!
THANKYOU to ALL the staff at Esmeralda’s you’ve ALL been outstanding!!

Small spotlessly clean hotel and restaurant in Kremasti. Staff friendly and helpful, restaurant with great food.

Small hotel with pool on the main road in Kremasti. Some of the photos don’t show the updated rooms and open kitchen.There is noise from the traffic even I didn’t notice as much over a few days. The hotel is absolutely spotlessly clean throughout. Beds changed/made daily. No food allowed in the rooms, but expect this is to reduce risk of ants etc. Our room(304) was large and had all you needed. Air con €7 a night and they also have insect screens on the windows if you don’t have the air con on.
Pool was nice but spent our time at the beach, 10minutes walk away and with a good breeze.
When we arrived there weren’t many guests and it’s Stavros the chef first season. Breakfast was cooked to order and very good. Evening menu was a 4 course fixed price €25 each and the standard was very high. Stavros attention to detail and presentation is what I would expect in a 5star restaurant.
For some reason the restaurant doesn’t come up on Tripadvisor, but it’s open to non residents and would be number 1 given the standard of food and value.
Lastly the staff team-always a smile and wave from Esmeralda and her husband(?), Markos, blonde lady at reception, lovely Bella and George, Stavros and all the kitchen team and lastly to the ladies who keep it so clean.

Great small family run hotel

Located on a main road, not too far from the beach, 10 to 15 minutes walk. Cosy, chilled, family atmosphere. Rooms are a decent size, very clean. Aircon is available at an extra cost as is the safe. Ample wardrobe space and drawers. Cleaned daily and fresh towels and linen every other day. The chef definitely knows his stuff! We had a few evening meals as the only other restaurants were ‘grill’ restaurants. The evening meals were delicious. Breakfast was a typical Greek buffet breakfast. Small pool but perfect for pool days, pool bar serves cocktails etc.
You do get traffic noise while around the pool but you get used of it. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in room 105. Would stay again.

A great hotel with a new chef

This is the fourth time my husband and I have stayed at the Esmeralda Hotel in Kremasti; a small family run hotel, where the owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The hotel is clean and comfortable, in a good location, close to shops, bus stops (20mins bus ride to old town) and about 1/2 mile 15mins walk to the beach.
The food has always been good, however, they have a new chef, Stavros, who has elevated the food to excellent.
Stavros and his front of house team are very attentive when dining and the bar. There are new menus with plenty of choice, with the food freshly prepared with care and creativity. Also, Stavros has gone the extra mile in accommodating my husband's gluten allergy, even preparing gluten free bread.
I would highly recommend staying here, or popping in for the great food.
