Perfect stay in traditional rooms inside castle area

Excellent location within the historic castle of Monemvasia, a 2-minute walk from the main area of town (restaurants, shops, cafes) but behind a garden wall so quiet and private. Our suite was two steps down from the enclosed courtyard garden & included: sitting area with 2 large sofas (can also be beds), breakfast table for 4, small fully-equipped kitchenette (fridge, small electric stove, 3 types of coffeemakers, kettle, dishes, cookware, etc., and coffees, teas, sugar, water, juice), bathroom w/shower, large bedroom w/double bed. Living room & bedroom opened to courtyard, with flowers & trees & a small table & chairs. Also a laundry-drying rack. Air conditioning/heating units, towels, closet, first aid kit, TV, wifi. Everything very clean and in good condition. Can easily sleep 4, more if small children. Absolute privacy as it seemed the only other room on the courtyard was not in use. Owner Chrysanthi was extremely friendly and accommodating. Although our suite had a view of the garden courtyard it seems the higher-up rooms have a view of the sea. Price was less than I'd expect to pay.

This was a real highlight of our vacation. Someone came to greet us at the entrance to the walled city and helped us carry our bags. We were all so impressed when we arrived at our little courtyard in what the kids thought was like a hobbit home.
Inside was even better. Everything was clean and tidy and we were left with a bottle of local wine which was really tasty. There was a nespresso coffee machine and pods as well so we were very happy!
The location was perfect, just a 1 min walk to wine tasting and great coffee shops and restaurants. We loved this place and would definitely recommend and come back.

This property within the walls of Monemvasia was beyond amazing. The character alone, proximity to the square and restaurants along with a private courtyard was beyond our expectations. Just a flight of stairs below is a swim area, so unique that you have to say you’ve done it! Be sure to direct message the property before you arrive, they will make sure to greet you and arrange a porter! The stairs are a lot so pack smart and light! We drove and got lucky with parking … but there isn’t a lot! Head to the main land for beach and shops, a 22 minute walk. We love this spot

We really loved our stay in Monemvasia and the cave apartment was so beautiful and unique. The host was very attentive and had good response time to our questions. There was even a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival which was nice. The bed was on the very firm side but the couches in the living room were so comfortable for sitting and napping. We would definitely stay here again.
