Lovely hotel but busy during peak season
The staff are equally as wonderful - a small team of 7 who all work extremely hard ( which I did not take for granted) the owner Gregory is kinda the man about town and knows everyone and can help you sort trips or anything you want and he does an excellent job with the hotel and is very friendly and happily chats with you and wants his guests to have the best experience possible, he’s put a lot of thought into the hotel is really quite special. The staff are what make this incredible little hotel.
We had the Meli room (honeymoon suite) which is large beautiful and worked well for a family of 3 with an adult child (18) - please note the sound proofing is not great and you can hear everything from the bar downstairs, but it didn’t bother us.
We ate at the hotel and the food was good quality, but personally I found breakfast for the 8 nights a little repetitive but that’s just because we stayed a while. Cristos the waiter was run off his feet some mornings but he was always polite and did an excellent job. The hotel has a paddle board which we used most days until another guest managed to snap the fin off.
My issue was not with the hotel or the staff but with some of the other guests. If you are not staying in peak season you would have an entirely wonderful experience I am sure at this hotel. There are 8 suites at this hotel and when these are full with young families or older teenage families, that totals around 32 guests ( only 24 chairs across both the pool and the beach) and the facilities are small and I don’t think large enough for all the guests to have a pleasant relaxing stay unless you are extremely courteous and mindful of other guests. We are a quiet family of 3 and we are very respectful of rules and other guests and we like everyone to have a nice experience, unfortunately maybe we are the minority with this view. When we first arrived for our 8 nights there were a lot of couples (older) staying at the hotel and they seemed like minded quiet people- they didn’t reserve beds, they were thoughtful of others guests space and it was a lovely chilled and friendly vibe, chatting to other guests was lovely. About 2 days in the atmosphere totally shifted with the start of the peak season and the clientele was very different and no guests really spoke to us from this point. 2 European families with young children arrived as a group - and it was sometimes uncomfortable and like a crèche on some days. When they left they were replaced with other families with teenagers who were fine but (one particular French family) who I’m not sure ever left the pool or visited the beach- taking 5 of the 8 pool chairs all day every day, leaving their stuff on the chairs whilst not using them. (Photo attached) The mother in particular glared at any guest who dared use a pool chair and we gave up most days as it felt too uncomfortable, they treated the pool like it was their own private villa and they were very hostile people, never even said good morning. In the room it clearly states not to reserve chairs and we respected this but others did not. Then on our last day a large group of very loud Romanians checked in taking 5 rooms and I was so glad this was our last day- they also all seemed to chain smoke. the owner said that he would be stopping large groups in the future as they dominate the small facilities. Some days we couldn’t get a chair at the pool for a couple of hours at all. We paid almost £400 per night bed and breakfast (total over £3000 which is a lot of money. In a nutshell I would come back but not in school holidays as I found my stay quite stressful wondering what new people Would check in and possibly take over the facilities. Your holiday enjoyment at this hotel during peak times will be governed by the type of guests that are staying at the present time. I would say that this hotel should maybe be adult only which would give it the luxurious feel that it truly deserves. I would also advise to get out and not spend all your time on a sun lounger - see the wonderful things the area has to offer. There’s beautiful walks up past the old monastery, there’s places off the beaten track that tourists don’t tend to bother with - rent a car, go to the river - charter a yacht (I recommend Ionian dream charters) , rent a drive your own boat through Oneira cruises Gregory will sort this for you) don’t bother with the sardine packed boats, paddle board and snorkel and enjoy the wonderful scenery, talk to the locals, find tavernas away from the main areas. All in all a wonderful little hotel and we did have an amazing time but be mindful of what to expect during peak times.

Fantastic and not to be beaten!!!! In no way!!! Sea view, room, food, staff... everything perfect!!!
Greg and his team are incredibly warm!!! His hotel had only 4 (now 8) rooms at that time and that he furnished them with a lot of love and passion, you can notice at every point. We were even asked at the end if he could improve something in our room (wedding suite) and came up especially so we could show him where we would put some hooks for wardrobe. That's all there was really to it! All rooms are as shown on the net! Lots of wood and natural materials and from the super comfortable bed you could always see the sea! The room is huge!!! The biggest we ever had!!! The hotel is brand new. Only 2 years old, as far as we know. Every wish is read from your eyes! Breakfast is a la carte and what is not on the menu can still be ordered! Everything is fresh and the peppermint for breakfast tea comes from the own garden, as does the thyme for the ingenious risotto. The evening menu is small but fine. We ate many dishes twice in the two weeks because they were incredibly delicious and yet so simple! It was Greg's birthday at the time and was surprised by his family with a cake, of which all guests simply got a piece. Do you need to say more? And if you have a boss like that, then no wonder that all the employees were more like family and that's how the guests were treated!!! If you are looking for warmth, privacy and a quiet holiday, this is the perfect place! Stunning views of the sea and the village of Parga, which can be reached on foot in 20 minutes! Car access is also easy and parking is free. We will definitely come back!!! Efcharistó poli!!! Aline & Michael
