Oasis of tranquility and beauty!!!

The Hotel Villa Platythea was an unexpected oasis of tranquility and beauty. The rooms were comfortable, clean and with a wonderful view of the enchanting lake. The breakfast was rich and tasty, with local products that highlighted the authentic taste of the area. The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring the beautiful nature of Prespa, hiking the trails and enjoying the tranquility of the lake. In addition, the large pool and the green gardens offered moments of relaxation and rejuvenation. This hotel was a great choice for an unforgettable experience in Prespes.

High expectations, low on quality

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We opted to get the apartment option rather than a double room in the small resort building within the same premises (Which also goes by the name Prespes Resort & Spa). Most of our time was spent exploring the really wonderful Prespes region and did not stay at the hotel much. Most of the time we were just there for the evenings. The hotel has a swimming pool which is its nicest feature. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they (he) would do everything we asked for but you have to ask for the service. For example, for the 3 nights that we were there nobody made our beds or cleaned the apartment. We had to ask for toilet paper when it was finished. The apartment it self was somewhat dirty. The small old style TV did not work properly and the furniture was old and in need of replacement (especially the mattresses which were damaged by the long term use). Breakfast was also a disappointment and very minimal. The hotel has a lot of potential but it really needs a lot more attention by the owners and staff.
