Home from home
This Hotel is in the perfect location, beds are so comfortable and the breakfast has improved since the last time we visited, adding fresh fruit would make it perfect!!!! We only had breakfast here as we spend our time on the beach but the staff were pleasant and Panos is just so lovely. When we arrived the air con remote didn’t work and I locked the safe without using a code, rang down to reception and the guy was up within minutes with a new remote and showed us how to use the safe, asked for extra pillows and plug socket extension and again was sorted straight away, I cannot fault this hotel and 100% will be going back next year, we actually booked for next year while we were there. There is nowhere else I would stay in Roda. Perfect holiday. Thank you Afrodite.

Beautiful location!
We have just spent seven days in Roda at Corfu at the Aphrodite Hotel with our two adult children. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere at the hotel was always relaxed an everything you needed was within walking distance. The rooms were fine for the stay. They appeared generally clean, but the level of cleanliness wasn’t outstanding, e.g. sand on the bed linen at check-in, dirty light switches and coffee cups and low water pressure at certain times during the day. The rooms had a small fridge and the view either overlooking the sea or the pool with the mountains in the background was amazing. We booked the rooms with half board. The breakfast was an extremely disappointing experience, though. At breakfast there were two types of toast, Greek yogurt (natural), hard-boiled eggs, chopped tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, sliced cheese and sausage, honey, jam, milk, cornflakes, water, tea and coffee. That’s it!! No fresh fruits, baked beans, bacon, muesli, scrambled eggs etc. However, you could order traditional English breakfast at an extra charge (see picture), but we have never experienced that before on a three-star hotel! Some guests even brought their own fruit to the breakfast table!! Fortunately, dinner was served at the “The Yacht restaurant” next door with an optional three-course menu.

Basic - I wouldnt return
It really depends what you want. If it luxury, choice of food at breakfast and modern facilities dont book this.
My main issue was how noisy the air con was this disrupted my sleep.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The lady who was managing the pool was a little unfriendly and short.
The food at the Yacht Club Bistro was outstanding. Every meal here was wonderful.
The room was basic, noisy air con and broken shower head.
The location is further out has a bus near by but is about 1.5 hours from Corfu Town.
Roda itself has a good beach,lots of bars and restaurants.
Overall the hotel could improve and has so much potential but personally I wouldnt return again.

Disappointing
We stayed for 10 days. Hotel was in a lovely location and we had a sea view, but that's where the positives end. We arrived in our room and it was evident that the floor had not been cleaned properly. A tooth pick was on the floor and stayed there for three days. The balcony was never cleaned during our stay. Staff were rude and unfriendly. We asked for ice for drinks in our room and were begrudgingly given a plastic cup full. On the second night we were told to go and buy ice from the supermarket. We would gladly have done so if we could have stored it in our fridge, but the ice box was very small and did not work properly. It seems that unless you are a regular returner you are not made to feel welcome.

good and bad
This is an older hotel it seems as though the area around it has become busier over years
which means if you are a light sleeper you will proberly experience traffic noise,
particularly from the coaches the motorbikes seem to be very inconsiderate revving late into the night!!
we were in room 29 which has a very strange layout but interesting enough had a very modern bathroom by greek standards
We also had a compact fridge which was useful to keep drinks in a large kettle 2 cups 2 glasses and 2 spoons
There was a wall mounted tv with very limited channels
As we were on the side of the hotel our view was of the roadside and which also meant we got the sun in the afternoon
The other slight downside is the breakfast offering which was a bit repetitive
the staff are friendly and a nice sized pool with pleasant with background music playing there is also snack bar and options to have ice cream
Out and about
There was a carrefour express supermarket across the road prices were what you would expect for a touristy area but it did have a good range
The local bus stop was also over the road bus and the buses seemed to run to their timetable we ventured to sidari which took about 30 mins
But felt corfu town could take quite a while and the buses where not that frequent
So opted for a tour via the local travel company
There are plenty of restaurants prices seemed roughly the same 15-20 euros for a main meal
We can recommend the nikos family restaurant which we visited on quote few occasions
which means if you are a light sleeper you will proberly experience traffic noise,
