We had a wonderful stay at Nereides Seaside Apartments and would happily come back.
A special thank you to Anna and Kostas for their exceptional hospitality. They were kind, friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Their warmth and genuine care made us feel at home from the very first day.
Our apartment was spacious, spotless, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed. The breathtaking sea view from our room was simply unforgettable. Waking up every morning to the sparkling blue sea and the peaceful surroundings was one of the highlights of our holiday.
The beach was beautiful, quiet, and the crystal-clear water was perfect for swimming and relaxing.
The hotel’s restaurant was excellent, and we also highly recommend Epiouzion Restaurant, only about 150 meters away. The food and atmosphere were fantastic.
The nearest village with tavernas and small markets is only a 10-minute drive away. Although the ferry ports are 40–60 minutes away, the peaceful location is absolutely worth it.
A small tip: bring a fly repellent for the beach during the day.

Beautiful location & great service

The room was a spacious apartment (living room, kitchen etc.) with a large veranda. The sea view was fantastic! Good value for money. Excellent service (quick booking, thorough cleaning, traditional local food including fresh fish) with friendly and very conscientious staff. I would recommend it to my friends and I look forward to spending my future vacations there.

Not impressed

Only stayed for one night. Room wasn't ready & full of flies.
Managed to kill our get the flies out of the patio window.
Several mosquitoes killed in the lounge, another 6 in the bathroom.
After a nice, quiet meal at the taverna at the other end of the beach. Only to find a large cockroach in the room. Another smaller one in the room in the morning, the receptionist didn't seem bothered.
I hope that we were just unlucky as we have always loved the beach for day trips.

Great relaxing holidays at the best location of Samos

Ideal for relaxing holidays in one of the best natural settings of Samos! Great for outdoor activities too (mountain & sea). All rooms have sea views. Best value for money in relation to the other island accommodation. Excellent Greek restaurant and very clean rooms. Great service overall, with friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent Location for Relaxing Vacations

Limnionas is a very nice little bay South, South West of Samos Island, some 50 kilometers of KARLOVASIO port. The route from port to Limnionas is very nice, road condition is good though attention must be always in order especially at night were there is no lighting and everybody drive's like nut. Limnionas is located in the outskirts of a village called KAMPOS and on the far left of the road to DRAKAEOS village. We booked a room on NEREIDES Guesthouse; you cannot miss it due to its Grasshopper Green color that you can distinguish it from miles away. Below you will find our intimate personal opinion. NEREIDES are ideally located above the beach, we have included a picture. From any room you cross a small quiet road and you are in the water!! The room is not exactly what you expect but something exponentially better. This room and all the rooms of NERIEDES are designed to accommodate multiple people families with a great comfortable level. The price for mid - August is lower than anticipated and you get a spacious for 4 people minimum two pieces apartment with 2 separate bedrooms, bathroom, smart equipped kitchen for long stay with boiler, filter coffee maker and the rest, refrigerator, table for four so you can dine at your convenience, air condition and separate table in the big balcony with endless view to the sea. The last feature is partially false. The balconies are built so high to eye level that when seated you cannot see the water!!!! It’s like being in an apartment in the city where you seek privacy isolating any surrounding sound or picture. For such a place it’s the stupidest idea ever made, to get enclosed in a balcony, in such a peacefully ideal place and not being able to gaze the calmness of the sea. We believe that the builder did not informed the owner or the owner is somewhere far beyond unaware of this design mistake (to say the least). Anyway, the rest is rewarding and quiet so you can relax as we did. We avoided thank God the optional breakfast and the optional half-board offering for two key reasons. Room’s Kitchen is very handy and my wife cooked every day our favorite breakfast, with our ingredients of choice, at our desired time plus we managed to eat in our room several times lowering our vacation costs. You can find super market in KAMPOS village where you can purchase almost anything. The water is drinkable so you don’t need to buy bottled water. Cleaning detail was every two days changing towels, sheets, through garbage away, etc. so from cleanliness perspective we were very satisfied. Concluding we were very happy from the island, the location chosen, the room provided and its facilities, its price and overall cleanliness. But… This is a list of things that might ruin your stay or misjudge a place due to irrelevant situations. The guesthouse is operated by the neighboring restaurant where you must go to pick up your room key. The restaurant provides the optional breakfast or half board service whereas it operates as a standard restaurant. During our stay we never ate there because we translated their vague feeling as inhospitality. Maybe we were wrong though all tenants’ domestic or foreigner had the same opinion with us. Further to that, the atmosphere derived from part of the restaurant’s personnel as per our personal opinion might be considered inappropriate even hostile. We came to that conclusion because a) When we arrived we were told to pay the entire amount for the room upfront. My wife felt distress because she did not have cash on her and they did not accepted credit card. On a second thought, at this room level you are not oblige to pay at front or at least this is what we believe. After all we are not cheaters and surely we do not want to be treated like ones b) during check out, we were asked an additional amount for a preposterous reason, thus drinks that we never got but we were obliged to pay. After a short dispute I provided the printed bill arrangement and threaten that I will go straight to the authorities to complain. All of the sudden the dispute stopped (!!) c) The guesthouse features four parking slots for the tenants. During our stay we never have the chance to park in these slots because restaurant personnel and their respective friends occupied the parking space. If you add in the equation various guests bathing in the water or guests eating in the restaurant, then you get the picture of my wife and myself carrying our luggage, shopping’s etc from a distance, to the room under 35 to 38 degrees centigrade. No one from the restaurant personnel felt the need to provide a parking slot to us renters. We kept the best part for the end. The beautiful beach in front of the guesthouse features some weather aged umbrellas and sunbeds, exploited by the restaurant. The amount requested for two dirty sunbeds and a transparent umbrella that provides you zero sun protection, even if it’s a single person, is 5 euro without any sort of fiscal receipt. Needless to mention that no one bothered to clean the beach from small garbage, in order to justify this 5 euro per set.
Verdict. We enjoyed our stay in Samos Island, in Limnionas and in NEREIDES Guesthouse. If you visit it, it will not disappoint you. The restaurant owners running this guesthouse though ought to modify their overall mood if they expect from us to choose their establishment again or advertise it to our friends. We all face difficult times, money earned is not easy and we take care what we spend or where we spend it but nevertheless in both cases we spend with caution. So owners please respect your clients and possibly try to retain them.
