Very nice people who gladly helped us with everything we asked for.
Lora, the receptionist, is lovely, helpful and speaks good English, which is not so common here.
The rooms were nice with a beautiful view from the balcony.
They also have a heated pool, so you can enjoy it every day of the year.

Odd “Hotel” to understand
We had a 2 bedroom apartment and the rooms where nice, the bathroom however was small and oddly place.. it did its job.
The grounds where nice with play areas for the kids and a lovely little pool that was not cold.
This place was either much better in the past or will be better in the future as there is buildings not used that could be restaurant or bar.. just not sure
I would stay again but I would go shopping before I arrived for food and drink.
Great value for money.

Good stay for a fair price.
It is true that there was no shampoo or hair dryer and they don't serve breakfast. Also, we could not buy a coffee here.

This place is going downhill
Seeing the other reviews, I understand that things changed drastically. We used to go to El- Plazza very often while we lived in Romania. That was 7 years ago. It used to be a wonderful place, very clean, comfortable, good food and the staff and the owners were professional and friendly.
We are planning to visit Romania next month and we wanted to make a surprise to our parents and spend a few days together in Herculane, at El-Plazza. I called today to book the rooms, but the front-desk person was absolutely clueless, and he kept saying to me in a very rude tone, that I should write an e-mail (the reservation page on their website is not working) if I want to book the rooms. He had no idea if they had available rooms or not and did not bother to check either. He basically said that if I send the email or not is fine by him, he doesn’t care. Hahaha good way to treat your clients and make business! lol. Yep. We will definitely go elsewhere. Shame.
