Wild Danube Delta

We rented this lodge twice last year,in july and october. For the initial trip, we planned the whole time for ourselves, our plan was to get far away from the city and have some good quiet time. Initial plan was to stay in bed late (that bed<3) just relax, read a book and nothing else, but we charged our batteries more than we ever imagined. Untouched & wild area is overwhelming. We admired fauna (there are many birds), boating, took picnic in nature, bask on the hot Danube banks, and also visit The National Park- Macin Mountains. Accommodation was very good, with clean and cozy rooms and the food- GREAT!! ( at the second visit, we hit upon crayfish season) and the parties followed by campfire made the stay delight. I highly recommand this location which, certainly in the spring, like migratory birds, I will return.

Great place to explore nature

The villa is excellent for friends, families with children or simply for people who want to get away from the daily routine. Situated in a very remote area, it is perfect for enjoying the quiet of nature. We went here kayaking and we were impressed by the facilities and the staff. I totally recommend it if you don't mind very bad roads.

Close to nature

We booked this property in the middle of winter and we could't explore very well the area because of the cold. But still the peaceful and wild landscape will make us return in summer time. The Danube is a short walk away from the lodge.
We rented the whole lodge and had a great time sitting by the fire in the living and sleeping in the comfortable bedrooms.

Back to origins

Great for groups of friends to rent the hole villa. A place to be a sloth. Enough room for kids to play and the host was very kind to arrange activities (boat trips, fishing trips, horse riding etc.) for us.

In the middle of nature escape

We stayed here for two nights in September 2014 and it was a very unique experience. We arrived during the week and we had all the lodge for ourselves.
It is the perfect place for a quiet, relaxing in the middle of the nature escape. The landscapes one can see here are unique.
The lodge is very authentic, the rooms are beautiful with a clean shared bathroom.
The people we met here were very kind and helpful. A very nice woman cooked delicious meals for us, while another man took us to some memorable sightseeing.
Egreta villa is close and I recommend a visit although there are only ruins left.
The only disadvantage of the place is the fact that it is hard to get there and the road is not very good (4x4 car is a must).
I strongly recommend this place.
