Wonderfull time
It was the best place I ever spent in Transylvania! The stadf was wonderfull, helpful and kind. I am planning to go back! The surrounding area is just stunnig and beautifull. The food is marvelous at the place. I can say nothing but thanks to the staff! Keep up the great work!

A Nice House
Location - in the forest, on the foot of the mountains, silence, all green, a little river, good sights nearby. 30-40 minutes with the car till the Red Lake (20 km), 5 minutes from the main road.
Rooms are ok, small and clean, view from the room - trees, nothing special. We were 2 adults + 1 child and they gave us a small room with a small bed.
Bar/Restaurant - small, 3 tables, in the morning if the house is full, no place to eat.
Food - breakfast included - nothing special, eggs, sausages, yogurt, in other places much better - with traditional or special food. Dinner - very expensive and nothing special, homemade food, traditional goulash, schnitzel, soups, sarmale. I don't understand why they put twice prices like in nearby restaurants. Bad palinka and afinata, warm wine and drinks.
Very disturbing - a dog near the entrance that barks all-day. The first night we cannot asleep till 23-24 until they took him somewhere. In the afternoon also you cannot sleep/stay or walk on the territory of this house, in silence, because of that dog.
Good Wi-Fi, no GSM signal.

Therapeutical
Although I love to travel and to add a +1km to "this is the farest I have been away from home", I never visited this region. Partly because I was obsessed with all the mainstream atractions and partly because the media poisons us with the dangers behind the ethnical background of the people living in Harghita,Covasna etc and the rest of the people in Romania.
I was so wrong. I should have come here earlier. I should have taken the liberty to relax for real. I love everything here : how the hosts attends to our needs, the fact that you are isolated by not having signal on your phone (no, i am not being sarcastic, this was nice), the creek in front of the inn, the sky filled with stars (you could almost say that you can see a bit of sky on the stars) and the sheer quietness.
Really looking forward to come back in the summer and really considering to do some team buildings activities alongside with my work colleagues.
I highly recommend this place!

A little fairytale house
Living the big city life, totally messed up my health. I couldnt wait to be in this green area and relax for a couple of days. The hosts are amazing, they always wanted to make our holiday better and better, helping in everything and they are just so kind. We had a welcome drink with them, it was really great. After the trips we made the day, came back to the hotel and they made us delicious dinners, and we could enjoy the benefits of the spa even after dinner. Its a small wooden kinda hotel in the middle of the forest,something magical I couldnt try lately. The biggest noise you can hear is the creek next to the hotel.
I will definitely go back soon, its something you should get from the doctor written for prescription.

Value for money is slightly lacking.
This is a beautiful location and the family that run it are really nice people but I feel that this doesn't give the best value for money, especially if you have dinner there.
The surrounding area is fantastic, especially during winter when you can walk without bumping into too many people. Nice forests, lovely little creek and you can just wander as you like.
Where I was disappointed was in a few things. The room I was staying in is right beside the dining room/meal preparation area, which means you get to enjoy the noise of dishes being done at 1030pm. Also if you're in bed any earlier you can hear as the other guests eat their dinner. Also the family this is the families living area so it can feel a little cramped.
Regarding the food, the breakfast was included in the original price and I will admit it is a great selection. Plenty to choose from and all nice. It is a cold buffet though. The dinner is where I had issues. The first night it was 3 courses and the second only two, but no one explained why? We paid the same for both nights? The cost of dinner is very expensive for a Romanian meal especially because it is very "simple". Don't get me wrong, it was very nice but just extremely overpriced especially when you compare with nearby restaurants (which we did after).
Twice I ran out of hot water while trying to use the jacuzzi and the plug in the bath would not drain unless totally dismantled. They also have a "health suite" with a small sauna (2 persons sitting side by side) that does the job and a larger jacuzzi. Unfortunately you can't use the toilet or shower in this location as there is no water supplied.
Overall it is a beautiful place with a lovely family but the "value for money" definitely removes a star from their rating. If you want quiet, ask for a room upstairs. If money for you is no option this is the place for you. If not, I would recommend doing some research and finding something a little more suitable.
