Authentic experience in Danube Delta at Casa Boby Murighiol

I was here with my family from the United States and we made lifelong friends. The accommodation is clean and affordable, but what they offer most special is their humanity. Mrs. Adriana offered us coffee after coffee on the house, Mr. Ion gave us traditional drinks that he had from all corners of Romania, because he has friends who were tourists at one point who still send him goodies from all over the country. The boat ride was a dream. We saw swans up close, without disturbing them, Mr. Ion knows exactly where to go and how to be careful with nature. He has a fast boat and when needed we went fast. It was a unique experience. We want to come back at least once every few years.

Great for birdwatching—pelicans, herons, sea eagle. Fresh food, quiet rooms. Go early for photos. Bring bug spray.

We came mainly for the birds and weren't disappointed. Boby knows the channels well and took us out twice, early both times so the light was good for photos. Saw pelicans, plenty of herons, and a sea eagle on the second trip. The food at the house is traditional and the fish was very fresh. Rooms are basic but fine, and it's quiet. Bring something for the mosquitoes in the evening. Murighiol works well as a base for the wilder parts of the Delta. Recommended for anyone into wildlife.

The perfect base for the Danube Delta

We spent three nights at Casa Boby in Murighiol and it was the highlight of our trip to Romania. Adriana and Boby treat you like family from the moment you arrive. Boby took us out on his own boat into the Danube Delta at sunrise, through quiet channels where we saw pelicans, herons, and more birds than I could count. Adriana's fish soup is something we still talk about. The room was simple, spotless, and quiet, with good air conditioning, and the garden terrace was perfect in the evening. Murighiol is the ideal base for reaching the wild parts of the Delta toward Sfantu Gheorghe. Wonderful value, and the warmest hosts we met in Romania. We will be back.

A day on the Danube Delta

We stayed two nights at Casa Bobby. Very nice owners Bobby and Adriana were very caring. The accommodation was clean and very well maintained. We also went on a day trip in the Danube Delta by boat with Bobby which was very good, unfortunately Bobby does not speak English, however he is very enthusiastic about telling us about things via google translate so we did not consider the language to be a problem.

Real Danube Delta

Exceptional services and excelent guide for Danube Delta.
Boat trip in any location, good advices for restaurants and “Nea Boby” is the a very charismatic person always ready to help you.
The location is nice if you are coming for fishing but also if you really would like to visit nice location from Danube Delta.
