Nice place to stay, if you're not picky and on a budget

The owners are very helpful and nice. There are plenty of things for your kids to play with, and the whole place has a very cozy feeling to it. We felt like we were visiting a friend's house. Rooms are large and feature a kitchenette, equipped with anything you'd ever need. That being said, the appliances are dated and the furniture is very cheap. Overall, great value for money and a lovely place.

Family vocation in August

Very nice and friendly place. We stayed with 2 families with small kids. Very clean. The location is very convenient. Close to many touristic attractions. A lot of small grocery shops nearby. There is closed yard where you can make barbeque while your kids are playing with planty of toys.
The owner of the pansion is very helpful. She has good English and can help you to make your way through Romania. We highly recomend this place!

A very nice place

Rock and red is not exactly a "pension". It is more a "studio".
The studios are equipped with all necessary equipment for a longer stay. You can prepare your own breackfast or you can order the dinner to one of the restaurants in town.
If you are comming for business or pleasure, alone, with familly or friends, the Rock and Red Studios are a discret and pleasant location.

Great value for money, lovely host

It is hard to find a better deal than that. The guest house is located in Rasnov, a small but very picturesque city in Brasov county, in the famous Transylvania region of Romania.
The hosts, Dana and Iuli live just next door and they are amazingly friendly and helpful. They love kids a lot, so families with children are more than welcome.
The best thing about this guest house is that you have the comfort of a hotel and also feel like home. Every room has an American style kitchen having all the kitchenware that you need: coffee maker, microwave, fridge, toaster and electric stove and also dishes and pots.
I have found this idea brilliant since you do not have to share the kitchen with the other guests, thing that is very common in other guest houses.
For people travelling on budget, this is a smart choice. Having a room with your own bathroom and kitchen, TV, DVD and WIFI at such a reasonable price is really cool. Rooms are spotless with modern furniture. There is also a terrace with a barbecue area, a playground and a large traditional saloon in the basement where you can have a party in case you are a large group.
The location is brilliant as well. The Rasnov Citadel is at 20 min walk. You also have easy access to other touristic area. It is 15 min drive to Bran Castle and the same to Brasov. Also some popular ski resorts like Poiana Brasov or Predeal are nearby. In less than half an hour by car you have acces to most of the main attractions in the area.

A place full of life

Welcoming location, very clean, very young and welcoming hosts. Each room is equipped with kitchen completely equipped (USA type). 10 km from Bran Castle, Poiana Brasov. Rasnov fortress is a 5 min walk. On the way to Poiana Brasov can also visit the cave Rasnoavei
