I was a bit nervous when I saw how low the ratings are compared to other hotels, but I booked anyway because the prices were really good.
The Good:
- Kind staff. They were always greeting back when I greeted them. I think this is very important.
- Quick response to needs. I emailed them to make sure to accommodate my friend and check the room cleanliness and they delivered.
- Clean.
- Easy access to buses so it's easy to travel around.
- Close to some highly recommended eateries, some 24hr ones. Never a bad meal.
Could be improved:
- Could have more toiletries. I suggest bringing your own.
- The shower heater stopped working a few days in. It wasn't a dealbreaker but make sure to let them know.
- There's a no smoking sign but the hallway always smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. This isn't present in the room or the lobby from my experience.
Things to consider as a guest:
- Although the staff can understand some English, they aren't fluent and will give short answers. I don't find this as rudeness like in other reviews, but it might be surprising for people who aren't used to it.
- They have a lobby cat that comes and goes. Keep this in mind if you have a cat allergy, but he is clean and healthy and open to pettings.
- The rooms are small. They're fine for backpackers or people who don't need a lot of space, but not ideal for families with kids or people with a lot of things.
- The beds aren't for tall people. It's probably best for 5'6 and below.
- The counter staff occasionally aren't there. You either need to go to the hotel next door (K Hotel 12) as its the same staff, or wait for a while for them to come back.
- You have to let the staff know if you want them to clean the room. It isn't something they would do by default to give you privacy.

Room next to the dumpster
While it is not easy to find an affordable room in Singaoore comparing to the rest of other Asian city, unfortunately the hotel that i have booked before, Hotel 81 is fully booked. So i ended up trying this hotel due the location that i needed to be. I have booked and paid for 5 night but within minutes of entering the rooms i have made the deciaion to rebooked to other hotel and hopefully out of goodwil from agoda, i can get back some cash back. I didnt even want to spend 1 night.
I was given a ground floor and right in front of door way is where all the houskeeping trolley, rubbish and washing machine. This is unacceptable to any hotel standard for a paying guest. Not to mentioned the aging aircon didnt work well.

Not worth with what we pay 💰
The floor is sticky and dirty got hairs on the floor. The sink also clogged.

We left straight after seeing the room- no refund was allowed. The room was a state and the hotel is located in the red light district. The room was humid and AC didn’t work. The shower, toilet and sink was all rammed into a small room 1m x1m if you are lucky.

Nice Location . Others are just nice for solo travelers. You can find all types of food within a few steps
