Amazing experience
The hotel has absolutely amazing location. Ski slope just few steps away. We went last year and decided to go again. We stayed in the bungalow with balcony and where very happy. There is enough space for family of 4. The food was amazing with vide selection of main courses as well as salads and sweets.

What should have been a relaxing weekend turned into a nightmare.
Our stay at Hotel FIS Štrbské Pleso was seriously affected by a major security incident and, above all, by the hotel's response afterwards.
On 27 June 2026, we returned to our room after spending the day outside and found the door wide open. The hotel later confirmed in writing that the room had been left open due to a housekeeping employee's mistake. During that time, our passports, house keys, workplace keys and other personal belongings were left completely unprotected.
The most disappointing part was not the mistake itself, but how it was handled. The hotel manager refused to accept our written complaint, even in the presence of the police. We were also informed that the CCTV camera covering our corridor was not working.
What should have been a relaxing weekend turned into a nightmare. Instead of enjoying our holiday, we spent our time dealing with the hotel management, the police and the consequences of this incident. It is deeply disappointing that an experience like this now appears likely to end in court.
A hotel can make a mistake. What matters is transparency, accountability and how guests are treated afterwards. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of those standards, and for that reason I cannot recommend this hotel.

Dirty and dangerous hallucinatory situation
We were a staff of an international gathering, with participants from the USA, Mexico, New Zealand, Germany, Holland.
The choice was due to the proximity of the Kempisky hotel that hosted the participants.
Our accommodation was in terraced rooms.
The rooms were dirty with a carpet of many years ago dirty, the bathroom cabinet had broken mirror doors, one fell on me thank God without hurting me, to my complaints they just took it away without replacing it.The central water tap was in this condition!
I travel a lot but I had never found accommodation like this.

Your accommodation was in the bungalows, which we sell as tourist accommodation at a favorable price, I understand that it is not satisfactory enough for guests of the Kempinski hotel. This accommodation is the furthest from the Kempinski hotel in Štrbské Pleso, but it has the most favorable price. The equipment, which is already older, is currently being gradually renovated, but we pay special attention to cleanliness. We have changed the carpets several times, and we are gradually planning their further renovation: We are sorry for your inconvenience, the hotel has most of the accommodation in the hotel part, where the renovation took place during the years 2017-2018. Thank you and wish you all the best.

One of the best places for hickers
Came back for the second time, the choice was obviuous for us. Comfortable rooms, great kitchen (half board was gorgeous with its rich breakfasts and gourmet buffet dinners, polite and helpful staff (reception, waiters, massage - thank you Adam for getting us on the go again after the not so easy Rysy summit). The Gopass system is just perfect: you get access to cable cars all across the mountain, plus entrance to waterparks near by and the exciting Tartra Tower just in front of the hotel. In addition some of the most spectacular trails start right from the door. Must visit, no question, recommended by all means!

Very good breakfast with a beautiful view; basic rooms.
This hotel is perhaps one of the most budget options in Strbske Pleso, but the overall quality is not bad. Twin rooms are small and fairly basic, yet still fine. What I enjoyed the most is the view from the window, which is absolutely picturesque. The breakfast is very good, and the restaurant's cozy interior, combined with the landscape visible through the windows creates a remarkable impression. The hotel also offers wellness and spa facilities.
Concerning the shortcomings: the restaurant kitchen closes at 20:00, the beds in the twin room are rather small and not very comfortable, there aren’t enough electrical sockets available, the hotel is quit far away form the train station, however is close to the most hiking trails.

We are glad that you rated your stay positively. Regarding the size of the rooms, we have different types of rooms and apartments, which also determines the price of your stay. Larger rooms are occupied earlier and it is possible that only the smallest Economy TWIN rooms were available when you made your reservation. Thank you for your observation regarding the time of kitchen orders, we will discuss the options for later food orders with the F&B team. Buffet dinners are served until 9:00 PM, most guests choose this option.
