lovely place to stay

We had three lovely nights in Stary Smokovec staying at Reitmayer and it was the perfect place to stay. We had the family room and it was large - two rooms and quiet and clean and nuicely furnished. The train is just down the road and the location is perfect for hiking and relaxing. Parking is on site and easy and staff are very friendly. Marcela and Ivan are fantastic! The room had a fridge and kettle. Breakfast was a buffet and very reasoanbale price - it was a very nice breakfast. Thank you Marcela and Ivan for all your most helpful emails and communications and if we venture there again from Australia we will certainly stay with you again.

Best breakfast ever

This place was recommended by our friend who has been going there for the past 20 years.
We gave it a try as we usually stay at Strbske please and we were not disappointed!
The host was very sweet and gave us advice on where to go on a hike.
What I really loved was the breakfast that was served every morning! The host bakes fresh pies every day and we had a huge selection of bread, deli meat and cheese.

Family atmosphere in High Tatras with great service

Looking for a family and friendly atmosphere in the High Tatras? Here is the right place. Nice, cozy pension owned by a local family is the place where you will find your summer or winter season base.
The rooms are simple but with everything you need for your stay. If you have any kind of special request ask the hosts and they will try to do their best. Do not sleep over the breakfast. They are served in the restaurant room and you can find there all the local delights with home baked cakes.
In the evening you can have the dinner and beer in the restaurant as well. The offer is quite limited - usually 4-6 meals per day plus soup of the day but they are freshly cooked.
Pets are welcomed in this place.

Friendly and good food

Varied and interesting breakfast. Super helpful staff. Easy to access walks and slopes. Close to Taranska Electric Railway so the whole of the High Tatras is accessible by car or public transport in half an hour.

Great experience

We spent a few days in Stary Smokovec with family. Reitmayer was the perfect place to stay. They are refreshingly friendly towards pets. The view is breathtaking, the Apartments are right at the foot of the mountains. There are great opportunities for excursions and hikes. You can park your car right in front. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast was included in the price - it was a buffet, tasty and homely.
