Great stay!
We had a lovely stay at Iberostar Waves Bouganville Playa in Tenerife. The staff were welcoming, attentive and made us feel very well looked after throughout our stay.
Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard, and staying on a Star Prestige basis made the experience feel even more special. There was also a great variety of food each day with plenty of choice.
Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable holiday — we would happily return.

Očekávala jsem mnohem více - není Iberostar jako Iberostar
Již dlouho jsem po tomto hotelu pokukovala a byla jsem velmi nadšená z objednání a doufala jsem, že si pobyt v hotelu skvěle užijeme. Jedná se o mojí druhou návštěvu hotelu, který patří do sítě Iberostar, kdy první zkušenost byla s hotelem IBEROSTAR MÁLAGA PLAYA (pobyt byl naprosto úžasný) v červenci 2019.
Nyní k poznatkům z mojí návštěvy v době kdy se svět potýká s Covid-19. I když v jiných hotelích, které jsme za dobu pobytu na Tenerife (celkem 4) navštívili, byla dodržována velmi přísná opatření (např. striktní rozestupy mezi lehátky u bazénu), zde na tohle absolutně nedbali a naopak pokud lehátka chyběla byla doplněna, tj. namačkána do prostoru k bazénu, což bylo poněkud zvláštní (osobně nám to nějak nevadilo, spíše nás to udivilo).
Oba mnou navštívené hotely byly stejné kategorie (****), taktéž u pláže, ale co je naprosto nesrovnatelné tak gastronomie (v obou hotelích All inclusive)! Řekla bych že strava odpovídala spíše 2+ až 3 hvězdičkám, rozhodně ne 4****. Mnohdy si nebylo opravdu z čeho vybrat, na večeři vždy jeden druh masa a ryby (absolutně neochucené), poté pizza, těstoviny a několik druhů příloh (hranolky, bramborová kaše, rýže), zeleniny a salátů. Některé dny byly místní sýry a jeden večer byly připravovány palačinky crêpe. Snídaně byly jednotvárné, ale dalo se tam vždy něco vybrat (salámy a sýry pochybné kvality, zelenina, palačinky, sladké pečivo, ..). Co musím pochválit byly džusy u snídaně, které byly opravdu vynikající.
Výběr ovoce byl také značně omezený - vždy jen 2 druhy melounů, jablka a kompotované ovoce - broskve, směs ovoce a hrušky. Oběd ještě skromnější než večeře.. Nápoje v rámci All inclusive taktéž nic moc (standardní nápoje z postmixu od Coca-Coly, míchané nápoje nedobré, káva nic moc). Netuším zdali to bylo dáno situací kolem Covid-19 nebo je to standardní stav....
Ovšem abych jen nekritizovala, ale i chválila musím vyzdvihnout ubytování, které jsme si objednali, jedná se o tzv. pokoj STAR PRESTIGE SEA-VIEW PRIORITY LOCATION DOUBLE, který Vám umožní přístup do prémiového salónku, na 2 terasy, které jsou určeny jen pro návštěvníky, kteří si připlatili tento typ pokoje (mj. na pokoji se nacházela vířivá vana, kávovar Nespresso, župany, pantofle, voda, 3 druhy polštářů, plážové osušky - vždy večer pokojská donesla čisté, antialergenní deky, atd.) a navíc na stejném patře se nacházela slunečná terasa s vířivkou a samoobslužným barem, který byl neustále doplňován (Cava, pivo, nealko od Coca-Cola). V salónku kávovar L'Or, importovaný alkohol, sendviče, ovoce, ovocný kompot, nealko, sladké pečivo... Prodloužení check out nebyl taktéž problém.
V pokoji byla manželská postel, která byla široká maximálně 180 cm a nebyla příliš pohodlná.

Another amazing break
2nd time in successive years at this hotel with my wife and 6 year old. This is the best all inclusive hotel for families in Tenerife everything about it is fantastic. The staff at star camp and all around the hotel can’t do enough to make your stay special . The pool areas and entertainment are excellent for kids, the food is as good as any 5 star hotel I have been at, no drinks you ask for are not included in the all inclusive service, the food in the snack bar is better than the buffet at most hotels , will likely be back for a third time next year , the staff are a real credit to the iberostar group, rooms a bit basic but very very clean . An excellent hotel with even better staff can’t recommend enough

July 2026 - First time stay
First time staying here after being recommended this hotel, hotel room was clean and tidy, had a cot put into our room ready for arrival which was good as we arrived late/early hours. Rooms tidied daily and fresh towels too which was very good. Rooms are a little dated and could do with a freshen up but they are fit for purpose. Wardrobe space was quite big too and a free safe inside too.
We only had an issue with the room on the last night when we found cockroaches running across the floor, we were unable to catch them and move them as they went behind the fridge. Called reception who sent someone up to see if they could get to them, they weren’t able too, said they would return to the room with supplies and never returned. We ended up blocking all open spaces behind the fridge with towels to trap the cockroaches behind there as it was 23:30 at this point and nobody had returned & baby was asleep.
Communal areas in the hotel are clean and tidy. Lifts are a huge issue in this hotel, the amount of times we had to carry our pushchair up & down stairs as there are only 4 lifts for the whole hotel. Nobody makes space for pushchairs or I dread to imagine a disabled guest! Luckily we were on the 2nd floor so not too many floors to get down to get to reception but if we wanted to get to the restaurant or pool you have another 2-3 flights of stairs to get down. At peak times you can be waiting quite a while for a lift.
Food was ok… your typical all inclusive foods, we did opt to eat out a lot due to this. The pool bar is good, lots of different drinks to help yourself too and they do a lovely frozen strawberry daiquiri & a mojito which we liked. The snack bar pizzas were very good & the gluten free muffins were also nice.
The pools could do with some maintenance, lots of missing tiles in and around the pool. The towels on sun loungers by 6:30am is a joke, this needs sorting out as you can never get a lounger by 10am! We noticed towels being left all day for people to come and collect them at 3-4pm after not using them which is ridiculous. The hotel entertainment team were good with activities in and around the pool, we enjoyed the volleyball & water polo! The photographers were really great too, we had some pictures taken by them of our baby which was really nice.
Area outside around the hotel isn’t fantastic, lots of people offering you drugs when walking out of the gates near the pool. This was daily. Lots of people on mobility scooters and e-scooters on the paths which is quite unnerving when you are pushing a pushchair and they are papping horns trying to get you to move out the way. This seems to be a huge thing everywhere in Costa adeje/las americas.
The staff at the hotel were all very lovely, especially in the restaurant! The 2 ladies on the pool bar could be quite rude but everyone else was really polite and friendly.
Overall, I don’t think I’d return to this hotel purely because of the lift situation and the extra guests we had in our room.
