Quiet sanctuary in Artá
Son Cardaix is one of those rare places that stays with you long after you leave. Nestled in 140 hectares of unspoilt Mallorcan countryside near Artà, this nine-room finca is everything a boutique rural property should be — and very little else gets close.
The rooms are exceptional. Spacious, thoughtfully designed, and completely quiet. The kind of quiet that reminds you what rest actually feels like. The estate itself — olive and almond trees, a kitchen garden, sheep roaming freely — is not a backdrop. It is the experience.
María and Jaume have taken on this property with genuine care and a clear vision for what it should become. That intention is felt throughout. The authenticity here is not manufactured.
If you are looking for a pool bar and an entertainment programme, this is not your place. If you value space, silence, good food from the land, and the sensation of being genuinely away — Son Cardaix is hard to beat.

Favourite restaurant
We stayed in this adorable agrotourismo for dinner today. The restaurant exceeded our expectations. Local ingredients also from the own garden. A heavenly taste. Beautiful porcelain, great value for money. All beautifully decorated. Very nice service and a very fine wine selection. Definitely recommended

Charm, quiet and exceptional treatment
We stayed two nights and the experience was fantastic. It is a very charming place: an ancient Majorcan owned a huge rural estate, surrounded by olive trees, oaks and sheep. From the first moment you breathe tranquility, history and nature.
The room we got was stunning, very large and comfortable, with a living room with fireplace and a spacious bathroom. It gives the feeling of being in a stately home rather than a hotel.
But what surprised us the most was the deal. The service is impeccable, and Jaume and Maria, the managers, are extraordinarily close and attentive. You can see that they really imply that you enjoy the stay, and they more than get it. They make you feel at home.
Breakfast is simple but excellent, with local products and high quality. Both nights we had dinner there, and although the menu is short, everything was delicious and prepared with much pampering.
It's a place you want to go back to. An authentic, welcoming and peaceful agritourism, very close to natural routes and beautiful coves.

Home Away From Home
We started our Spanish holiday with a week at Son Cardaix, and after another week in other locations in Spain, we still think wistfully of our wonderful stay in that beautiful country estate. Carlos, Kika and Renata took such good care of us, making restaurant recommendations, feeding us delicious meals, and other extras that made us feel more like family than guests! Our room was a beautiful suite on the main floor in which we could open the windows for fresh air and listen to the birds, and we had a terrace to sit on and enjoy views of the garden, the pool, and enjoy a drink at the end of a busy day of exploration. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was fantastic, and we were able to access YouTube on the tv and watch news from home and even a movie in English! The food and service was first rate, and the property is maintained exquisitely. Very clean everywhere! Many thanks again to all at Son Cardaix who made our first week in Spain so happily unforgettable!

Dismal customer service
We called to ask for information in Majorcan and were told in very bad ways that if we did not speak in Spanish or Italian they would not attend or give us any information. In addition, they laughed that in Mallorca only Spanish is spoken. I will certainly not go for the bad treatment received before making the reservation. (Call made on 14/08/25 at 18:50)
