I left my bag in the taxi, but he doesn't speak English, so the reception lady explained with Spanish/Portuguese on phone. Very very thank you

DO NOT STAY IF YOU WANT TO REST.

We stayed because it seemed like a good option. Despite having left comments requesting that the room be away from noise, we could not rest all night.
Upon arriving, we found 4 teenagers (13 - 14 years old) leaving the building who very kindly offered us the PIN to enter and asked if we wanted a room. We told them no, but we were already annoyed.
Later, around 2:30 am, guests in nearby rooms started making noise, moving furniture, talking in the hallway, playing music on their phones, making calls on speakerphone, ... and turning on the Jacuzzi, despite it not being allowed; although we notified them several times, since there was no one there, they ignored us and continued with the party.
That is how we were until we got tired of calling.
IMPORTANT: The hotel DOES NOT HAVE ANYONE RESPONSIBLE there at night. Not at the front desk, nor anywhere else. You only have a phone number to call if you have any issues; someone who is in Mérida answers you. If you have a serious issue, there is no one there.
Mind you, they were very polite, they apologized to us, which was all they could do. But the sleepless night and the bad experience, we took that home as a gift.
Otherwise, the hotel is very cute, clean and pretty, but we will DEFINITELY NOT RETURN. It is a lack of professionalism to leave a building alone, with guests or visitors outside the building and leave you alone if you have problems. Don't call it a hotel, call it lodging, an apartment or whatever.

Very good location in the historic part of Badajoz. Easy walking distance of the citadel and the river. This hotel exceeded all expectations. One of the nicest hotel rooms we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. And the breakfast was outstanding, as were the staff. A lovely hotel in an interesting city.

Very quaint hotel, right in the heart of the old city. Very nice staff and close to various attractions and restaurants.
Having a hot tub in the room was a surprise but I did not use it.
Will stay at the hotel again

The room had a bad smell ( like toilet) to it and it did not dissipate. The front desk tried to help me with a taxi but did not warn me that I did not have to be at the airport 2 1/2 hours before my flight. The small airport did not even open until an hour before my flight.
