I think this hostel is rather new? The environment overall is very clean and the common room is fairly large. It may not be a lively hostel where everyones partying (apparently alcohol drinking is prohibited here?) but it definitely fulfills your need of staying some nights in Barcelona. Luggage storage is also available during reception hours. You can do your laundry for i think €11? Not sure about the supplies of laundry detergent and stuff. Hope this helps.

Disappointing and unacceptable experience at Arc House Barcelona
My friend and I had a reservation at Arc House in Barcelona from 28 to 30 April 2025, made and paid for regularly through Booking.com.As many know, on 28 April Spain was hit by an extended blackout that knocked out electricity and internet connections in numerous facilities.
When we arrived at the hostel, the receptionist refused to let us in or give us a room, claiming that he could not access our reservation due to the failure of computers and Wi-Fi. Although we had the booking confirmation, our documents and proof of payment with us, we were told to wait for the system to be restored, but it only happened at 1:00 am.
We felt completely abandoned. Two 20-year-old girls in a foreign country were forced to argue for hours to get what we had already paid for. The receptionist continued to deny access, even going so far as to demand an additional cash payment for a “random” room, despite the impossibility of issuing receipts due to the absence of electricity. Only thanks to the sympathetic intervention of another guest of the property, the receptionist was finally convinced to give us a room — at no extra cost, as of course it is.
We understand the technical difficulties faced by the facility due to the blackout, but we firmly believe that in exceptional situations common sense, humanity and a minimum of flexibility are needed. The cold, distrustful and hostile attitude we received was humiliating and unacceptable. No one should be afraid to spend the night on the streets, especially after regularly paying for accommodation.
We do not recommend this property to those seeking professionalism and respect for the customer, especially in critical situations.
