Our large extended family stayed here for 3 nights during our recent trip to Barcelona because of the air conditioning during the record heat in Europe. The hotel exceeded our expectations -- great location, clean and spacious rooms, AIR CONDITIONING, central location for shopping, food, metro, and beach. We utilized the self-serve laundry, breakfast, and free water/tea/ice service. We will stay here again!

Worst service possible
The worst customer service. I forgot an expensive item in the room. When i contacted the hotel by phone, they asked to send an email. 4 days later, They never answered it. When i called again they asked to come back to the hotel since i was still barcelona. When i get there, they make wait for 45 minutes only to tell me the cleaning team is busy... then they tell tell they didn't find it. I know i forgot it in the room. This honestly the worst experience i had at a hotel.

I regret that our team didn't give you a faster answer. This is not representative of our usual service, our staff is one of our strengths. The housekeeping manager was off and she couldn't read your mail until today. When you came to the hotel the Manager checked with the housekeeping team and she informed you that nothing has been found in your room. Please consider the fact that it has been forgotten outside our residence. Please accept our apologies for the late reply and we hope to be able to welcome you again and have another opportunity to serve your better. Yours sincerely.

The hotel room was nice and comfortable. It was a convenient location, but the Las Roblas area is in complete disarray right now. It is dirty, full the homeless, and overrun with trash.

BETTER THAN THE HOTEL
The geographical location is just ideal, right in the city center, less than 5 minutes from the metro, buses, and Catalunya Square.
Several reception staff make the effort to speak a little French. We had a studio on the 8th floor, so a magnificent view of the city and the sea in the distance. The building is very quiet. The room is large, very clean, with a 2m bed, and a TV with even a few French channels. The kitchenette is very practical and has the essentials for spending a week. The bathroom is spacious and well-equipped. We did not have breakfast on-site for €15 because there is a large Carrefour store right across the street. This type of accommodation is great for spending a few days, even better than a classic hotel.

Disappointing
Average reception. View of the wall. Reluctant to change, obtained a view of the Ramblas.
Dirty hallway, remained dirty for 4 days. Unpleasant odor in the bathroom.

Bien que nous nous efforcions de satisfaire au mieux l’ensemble de notre clientèle, je constate que nous n'avons pas répondu à vos attentes au cours de votre récent séjour dans notre Résidence. Concernant le ménage quotidien, Chez Citadines Apart’hotels nous mettons à votre disposition un menu de services flexible pour vous permettre de personnaliser votre expérience de séjour. Un ménage hebdomadaire est inclus pour les séjours de 6 nuits et plus. Pour les séjours plus courts, un service de ménage optionnel est disponible moyennant un supplément. Pour cette raison, les serviettes, linge et produits de toilette, sont à disposition de nos clients, de manière gratuite, sous demande à la Réception. Je profite aussi pour vous informer que c'est la même pratique dans tous les Citadines en Europe. Ces informations sont publiées sur les sites en ligne. J'ai pris bonne note de vos observations et recommandations d’amélioration concernant la qualité de la maintenance. Soyez assuré que je ne manquerai pas de coordonner ces améliorations avec les membres de l'équipe Maintenance et je tiens à vous confirmer que ce cas isolé n’est pas représentatif de nos niveaux de service habituels. Par rapport à la vue, nous essayons de répondre aux demandes des clients. Quand un client n’est pas satisfait avec son logement, nous essayons toujours de changer la chambre, si ce n’est pas possible le même jour, le lendemain. Nous ne manquerons pas de poursuivre nos efforts d'amélioration afin de proposer un service et des produits d’excellence à nos résidents.
