Great Location!

Just returned from a 6 night stay at Los Pinos for New Year. Location is excellent right on the beach and every apartment offers stunning sea views! The apartment was clean and tidy on arrival and included bed linen and towels to last the week. Each apartment has a kitchenette and a bathroom and is great for a self catering break with a supermarket nearby and a range of fantastic bars restaurants around the town and the port area.
This accomodation is not suitable for anyone that may struggle with stairs as 12 of the 15 apartments are not on the ground floor and there are several flights of steps to reach the upper apartments.
We landed at Alicante and then used Beniconnect for the transfers to Calpe. The nearest drop off and pick up point is the Sol y Mar hotel and the apartments are right behind you.
Would not hesitate to recommend and will certainly be using this accommodation again on our next trip to Calpe!

Take Shower Gel, Shampoo, Matches and don’t count on the WiFi

Didn’t expect a lot from previous reviews, but was surprised to find no matches, Shampoo and Shower Gel. Nice to have a kettle though and the cooking facilities were good. Cleanliness was a bit below par and the apartment was in need of refurbishing. The WiFi didn’t work for the two days we were there. Be aware when checking in that the owner doesn’t speak English and you need to ask for the password as it wasn’t given and necessitated a follow up call from us. Fortunately my wife speaks a little Spanish. No Aircon in the apartment and if you want heat in the winter it’s an extra 5 Euros a day! Heating would have been appreciated after a shower when we visited in December. Great view from the balcony, which was our main reason for booking.

Wonderful.

I needed a break from Madrid, decided to look at Booking (can I say that here?), saw a cheap apartment right on the water for 70 euros a night. I booked it without thinking twice.
Boy am I glad I did. Los Pinos has an inexplicably privileged position on the beach. It's dwarfed by all the massive hotel complexes behind it, which gives its humble little existence all the more charm.
The rooms are standard, nothing fancy, beds are comfortable enough, everything works.
You fall asleep to the sound of waves, opening the windows makes a nice cross breeze. Walking to the beach is so incredibly simple that I can't believe the price. I'm still waiting for the catch. (Full disclosure—I haven't checked out yet, but I've been here for five days).
I think I'll be back. I love it.

Very poor conditioning

There is not heat in the room and the furniture is very old. Need an improvement. The situation is excellent and the views superb. Very functional to enjoy some days in the beach and nothing else. The wifi is as low that you can not use it properly.

It is what it is

To be straightforward - the apartments are old and run down. If you're looking for a cool and modern place to stay, this is not it. However, the rate was very good, the location is awesome right by the beach and in the heart of Calpe, and my apartment had an amazing ocean view. So if you're up for a more "rustic" beach vacation experience this may be a good option.
