Great location and very helpful and welcoming staff, only downside was the indoor gym, pool and spa were closed.

Good hotel next to the beach
Hotel completely renovated next to the beach. New rooms, very nice and comfortable, but with some operational details still to be polished. Good buffet but for my personal taste it lacked some variety or something that would surprise. Very cool nightly entertainment. Excellent staff and good cleanliness

Disappointment
I have been coming to this hotel for quite a few years and to be a 3-star hotel until last summer everything was perfect, the rooms and the furniture a bit old, but it perfectly covered all the needs more than enough. The dining service was very good, although as the years went by they were doing without things, but even so very varied.
And now let's go to the present. They have renovated the entrance, rooms, and dining room, and yes, they have made it modern and nice, but at what cost? By charging us guests much more and doing away with essential things like closets in the rooms, which look entirely like a flea market—for lack of anything else, there are not even drawers, it's mind-blowing. They have also removed the drying racks from the terraces, and as for the dining service, except for breakfast, which more or less remains the same, they have turned lunch and dinner into a fancy-pants affair. A huge table with a thousand stupid things (spices, sauces, various types of cheese...), but as for real dishes, they have cut back tremendously. They have removed the fridge with yogurts, custards, flans... and in exchange, they have put out 2 bowls with yogurt in two flavors so that everyone can make a mess of it. Just like the freezer they had with tubs of ice cream, also gone, and in its place, blocks of ice cream so that people can take whatever they want, of course with the same scoop for everyone and a bowl of water to wash it, which is obviously always dirty. Aside from the variety, which has dropped significantly, the quality has as well. Logically, it is not the cooks' fault at all, since I imagine they place orders for what they need with the budget they are given. It is a good thing that the dining room staff continues to be very nice and very attentive. They always address the guests with a smile; there are no complaints about them, quite the opposite. I am not the only one with this opinion. We have run into several guests again who, like us, have been coming for years, and we all think the same thing. The owners want to recover the money from the renovation by raising the price significantly and making cuts to basic and necessary things. Now I understand why you go down to the pool this year and there are so many free lounge chairs, or why there is no line for the elevators or to enter the dining room.
I think that either they reconsider many things or they are going to lose a lot of clientele, but that is up to them.
For that price, there are hotels today that are a thousand times better than this one.
For me, instead of having moved up to 4 stars, which we all know can be bought, they should have gone down to 2.

Even a 10 can be improved
A place to relax and enjoy a few days at the beach.
Although part of the building is still in the process of remodeling, you hardly notice it in the lobby and hallways, and in the rooms, zero noise.
