Our stay at the Fergus Club Palmanova was absolutely wonderful, and we would highly recommend it to families looking for a great holiday.
Please don't listen to the negative reviews you might read online, because our experience was fantastic from start to finish!
From the moment we arrived, the reception team made check-in incredibly smooth and welcoming, setting a great tone for the rest of our trip. The dining experience was another major highlight.
The food was plentiful, delicious, and changed daily, meaning we always looked forward to meal times.
It's also worth highlighting that the snack bar was always filled and stacked with options throughout the day. A huge shoutout goes to the kitchen team, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything topped up and fresh. We want to give a special mention to Yandan (hopefully that is spelled right!), whose hard work and friendly presence didn't go unnoticed.
The housekeeping team also deserves a massive thank you for their hard work, as they did a brilliant job keeping our space clean and tidy throughout our stay. It was also wonderful to see how well the grounds are maintained; the pool guys work incredibly hard washing everywhere down in the morning, ensuring everything is spotless and ready for the day ahead.
The ABSOLUTE star of this resort, however, is the entertainment team. They are phenomenal! CLAUDIA, Matteo (Firework), namu and Nova the intern brought so much energy and joy to every single day.
They host so many fun pool games, including water polo and darts, which kept everyone entertained and brought a fantastic atmosphere to the pool area.
It's also worth noting for other families that small inflatables are allowed in the pool, just not the big ones, which is perfectly fair.
We are so sorry for not remembering all of the entertainment team's names, as absolutely everyone on the team deserves recognition for their hard work!
Most importantly, my daughters Jess and Millie were looked after so well. Jess has KBG syndrome and epilepsy, and Millie has developed a speech delay, but the entertainment team were absolutely amazing with both of them. They were incredibly inclusive, patient, and kind, making sure both girls felt completely included, happy, and safe. As a parent, seeing them so well-cared-for meant the world to us.
If there is one area that could use some improvement, it’s the air conditioning, which could be better as it struggled to keep the room completely cool at times. However, this was a minor issue. I have probably forgotten many things, but all in all, it was a fantastic holiday—and it was our first one in 7 years, making it incredibly special for our family. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so memorable!

Totally honest review
Our Honest in-depth review of the Fergus Club Palma Nova Park Hotel
We as a family spend hours every year doing research for our family holiday because let’s face it, it’s getting rather expensive. Here is an in depth review of what we thought, (Kids input included )
Arrival at the hotel was great and check in took 10 mins (12am) only one other couple in reception.
We were given all the information and it was explained to us that we could book the Irish bar Mc Kevitts, part of the hotel for either Burger night (Wed) or Pizza Pasta night (Thurs) you are able to do this from 11am at the desk next to reception, where you can choose a time slot to suit, subject to availability (part of the AI should you be staying for 7 nights, 1 visit per week)
We chose Burger night but will come back to this when I get to the food.
Room
We had booked a Pool view room that was situated right next to the snack bar on the middle floor (1066) perfect for grabbing a drink within like 30 seconds down one flight of stairs. The room was spacious for 2 adults and 2 children and the balcony was a good size (only 2 chairs) so we brought the one from the room and got another one from the pool bar, no one said anything about this and it wasn’t removed.
The mini fridge wasn’t great and took around 3 days to chill a beer properly but like I say the bar was underneath us so just kept popping down for ice cold ones . The beds were firm but good (no complaints) and bedding, towels changed everyday, housekeeping was spot on. There is also a towel drying rail on the balcony. The shower was powerful but really surprised they hadn’t put a sink in the bathroom instead of putting them in the living space as there is adequate room for this. The safe is a key which is a bit more annoying than a keypad as there’s something else to look after. The AC does work but it’s a gentle breeze, we found this good though especially for sleeping in as you didn’t wake up with the usual sore throat like you do in other places, just keep balcony door shut to activate.
Pool
So due to the late arrival we chose not to go to the pool but to get the water and snacks, however I did wake at 6am and look out to the pool and no sun beds were taken, when I looked at again at 07.20 not a sunbed in sight to be had . I had to join the sun bed early risers the next day and got down there for 05.55am ♂️ let just say I wasn’t the first, we managed to get 4 (but I did stay with them to get an idea of timings) 06.30am whole main side (Block A Gone) 06.45 (Block B side gone) and by 07.25 all but a couple completely gone. I hope this gives you an idea.
The pool guy comes on shift at 06.00 where he gets the pool floor vacs set up and then gets into the pool with a scouring pad and spray and cleans the green line off all around the rim of the pool. He then vacs the whole floor and adds chemicals (evening and morning) around 8.30 he gets a testing kit and tests the water. A guy walks around with a leaf blower clearing out under the beds and hoses down, he then walks round with CAN NOT RESERVE sun beds max 40mins signs and places them down, after he has done this absolutely nothing happens he literally vanishes into thin air Pool opens at 10.00 sharp, towels if not occupied just stay there. (NOTE If you want to pop them down and go back to bed for an hour then do)
Local Shops
Out of the main entrance up the small hill and head left to the roundabout, you will see a TEDi shop just keep going past and LIDL is on the right. If you go left at the 1st roundabout to will find a pharmacy and Pizza Nova which is great for late arrivals as it’s open until 1am. Continue past here until you reach the next roundabout (4 large post structures with flags) and head left, this will take you down to the beach front and the Calvià love heart sign, keep going right and you will find all your bars and restaurants.
Hotel food and Snack Bar
Breakfast absolutely spot on and the Hash Browns are actually amazing there is a huge selection to choose from.
Lunch just your typical AI but you can always find something fresh or make your own toastie up, we used the Pool snack bar most days although certain items were a little disappointing.
The chips, pasta & sauces, Salad and Chicken Nuggets were all good although chicken nuggets were only out once in the whole week we were there. The Burgers and Hotdogs I will let you make your own mind up as we didn’t enjoy them. The kids however absolutely loved the cookies and pastries were also good.
Mkevitts, this was probably the worst food we had whilst we were there (burger night) burgers were really salty and laced with coriander on top some might love this but we’re not really fans of it, we specifically asked for plain cheese and bacon burgers for the kids but they just came covered in mayo the kids also didn’t like the food here, that’s not to say others won’t. (NOTE this bar-restaurant has NO air conditioning and is quite uncomfortable to sit it for a meal. Also the reception areas are not air conditioned so if you have a late check out I would advise paying the €40 to keep the room until 15.00 as there isn’t a large seating area like most hotels have where you can chill out before departure and keep cool.
They do have a storage area for suitcases in reception and a shower on the 1st floor should you wish to freshen up.
We went out for our evening meals and I will list where and rate below we used the hotel Restaurant once for the evening meals on departure day, it was Mexican night and I thought is was really good.

All in all we did have a fantastic holiday (it’s what you make it as a family) the hotel just needs to get on top of the sun bed situation and improve some areas with air conditioning apart from that everyone does a great job here and it’s a very clean hotel. We as a family would agree that it’s not a 4* but a 3.5* at best. We probably wouldn’t return as we like to try other places.
Anyone coming here you will enjoy it, maybe not the early wake up’s though. Just make the holiday your own and you will have a great time

Don’t book this hotel
We’ve just checked out from a weeks stay, I’m not sure how people are rating this hotel 5 stars. If you like a nice holiday/hotel this hotel is not for you!
The front of the hotel is lovely, and so is the reception area, check in was quick and easy, but then when we got to the room we were sorely disappointed.
The room wasn’t clean, the bathrooms need a full refurb, it was totally gross. We couldn’t sit out on the balcony at all because the place is infested with Ants. We woke up most mornings to ants all over the room, which I had to go down to reception and complain about multiple times. We stayed on the top floor so it’s not like this issue is just with ground floor rooms.
The Air con was nonexistent, which when it’s mid to late 30 degrees outside is really not ideal. We slept awful most nights because of this and so did our daughter.
The pool, if you get up at 6-7am to put a towel down then you’ll get a bed, if you want to relax and lay in on your holiday then you’ve got no chance. There is no where near enough sun loungers for the guests, same goes for tables for the entertainment.
The food is your typical all inclusive, they have variety but mostly everything was bland, and a lot of food we had was cold. The cutlery most of the time was dirty which is really off putting. The all inclusive Cocktails are from a pre made machine so they tasted watered down and just generally awful.
I understand people leave the pool and go straight into the snack bar but the floor was constantly filthy and disgusting, also very slippy which is a hazard.
I take my hat off to the entertainment team, however it was the same thing every night and really dull. Unless you have really young kids which will enjoy a disco and the same songs for 7 days.
The only good thing about this place is that it’s a 5/10 minute walk to the beach and all the shops. Transfers are all very quick too.
There’s a bus stop outside so you can easily jump on a bus and go into Palma city which was beautiful.
We booked this holiday last minute, and all the good reviews made it seem like a good choice but I can honestly say we won’t be returning and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else to either.

Great Family hotel in Mallorca
We recently returned from a wonderful family holiday here (2 adults ,2 children 3&7). A few improvements can be made but overall we were very happy with the hotel and enjoyed our stay.
Pros:
Short transfer time, clean modern rooms which were cleaned well throughout the week, great (hot!) food, pools were perfect for us and the kids with a range of depths, entertainment team worked really hard, location was also brilliant - short walk to a lovely beach and shops/restaurants. My son enjoyed a couple of visits to the games room. Helpful reception staff. No issues with our Aircon.
Cons: the tiled flooring in the snack bar and conservatory part of the restaurant was often not clean which was not pleasant. These should be changed to a different floor type! No Tea/coffee facilities in the room. More storage in the room would be better and the balcony could have been swept as well. AI Cocktails and coffee were poor but other drinks were good.
We don't normally stay at hotels more than once but we did say we would consider going back! We just had a standard room and didn't upgrade to "Magnus" and were happy with what we got. It's not a luxury hotel, but great for families. :)

Honest review, absolutely not 4 star but a lovely holiday
So we came for a weeks holiday which it was myself and my sister and my niece (5) and my little boy (8) when we first arrived around 9.15pm we were told there was no food , no snacks to be had which at other hotels I’d stayed in had provided. But we were told there was a pizza place nearby so we had a walk there which was lovely.
Our first day people are up around 6am to get there towels down on the sun loungers ( which myself and my sister found out ) when we struggled to get some sun loungers on our first day and then thought if you can’t beat them join them. The fridge in the room doesn’t work it was colder outside of the fridge than inside it and be warned that there is no kettle in the more basic rooms unless you ask for one and then they won’t supply any milk. Aircon wasn’t as cold as other hotels I’ve stayed in but it was fine.
The food was fine espeically breakfast in the morning was lovely and the kids had the best best time- they loved all of the animation team who well and truly make the hotel there absolutely amazing and my little boy loved the games room where they have ps5s and other consoles for children to play. The kids loved the slides and the children’s pool. All in all we had a lovely time but if the fridges could be looked at and providing a kettle in peoples rooms and even some little biscuits for late arrivals it would just be a nice touch.
