Excellent location near the center of Ciutadella and with access to Cala des Degollador or sa Platja Gran. Magnificent experience.

These are two 2-star hotels, with well-equipped rooms with air conditioning, fans, TV, bathroom, and comfortable furniture and beds. I highlight the daily cleaning and a good buffet-style breakfast with local products. The staff is lovely for their kindness and help with all kinds of route inquiries and useful tips in a family atmosphere run by Tony, Fran, and Irene, and the restaurant staff Sole and Sol, who made us have a great time. The location is spectacular, so close to the center and with views of the cove from the room and direct access from the terrace. Unbeatable value for money, which will surely make us return. A MUST hotel in Menorca

I've stayed in probably close to a hundred hotels in my life. dozens in Europe. This Hotel, is the best of the best. People often confuse expensive as good or great experience. Mar Blava is a fair price hotel that excels in every aspect a hotel should.
The Staff: The kindest, most accommodating staff I have ever met in Europe. Tony, his wife, and the others go far and beyond what is expected for traditional Hotel staff, they want to make sure your experience is Top notch. They offer beach supplies, advice, coffee when you need it most etc...
The location: incredible. Having the cove right there to nearly fall out your bedroom window and enjoy a morning or evening swim is fantastic. The breakfast patio is the best in Spain, over looking the morning sun creeping into the cove was the highlight of the week for us. We were able to walk to stores, to dinner, whatever we needed.
The Rooms: Honestly, probably the "weakest" part of the hotel, but even then, they were clean, sufficient for all our needs, had AC, a window to over looking the cove were such a pleasure. The furniture was a little dated, but you wouldn't even notice because you're too busy looking out your window enjoying the Menorcan vibe. We didn't hear any noise inside our room at night, as the hotel is in a nice quiet area.
Suggestions for first timers: Rent a scooter, there is no room for cars anywhere in Menorca. Parking is MUCH easier that way. Go into this Hotel with a mentality of, you will leave with friends in Menorca. Just enjoy the breakfast at the hotel, don't bother with anything else in the city. The breakfast will become your highlight.

Perfect location, 10/10 staff, everything tidy and with many thoughtful touches from their personnel (Irene is incredible...), thank you very much for the treatment received.. you guys are great!!

July 2026 dream vacation

For the second year in a row we stayed at this charming hotel in Ciutadella, just a 10-minute walk from the historic center.
Like every year, the warm hospitality and kindness of the entire Staff made our vacation beautiful!
The hotel is truly a gem and equipped with every comfort to make the stay truly unforgettable.

Hotel in a beautiful setting

Hotel is situated in a cove right by the waters edge and is in an ideal location. Upon arrival we received a lovely warm, friendly welcome and shown to our room, which was comfortable, clean and overlooking the cove. We loved the location of the hotel and enjoyed the walk into Cuitadella being 15 minutes directly or by the waters edge about 25 minutes which was beautiful. Food at breakfast was typical continental and ample. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and the prices of the drinks at the hotel is cheap.
