Alojamiento rural muy apropiado en pleno corazón de la Montaña Leonesa
Nos alojamos en el Hostal Rural Casa La Picota durante una campaña de trabajo de campo y la verdad es que nuestra experiencia fue muy positiva: las habitaciones sin lujos pero muy completas y limpias, las camas bastante confortables, y los desayunos, con todo lo necesario para comenzar el día de manera inmejorable. Además el personal tuvo un trato excelente en todo momento. Muy recomendable.

Not anything goes for money
A pity we did not also read these previous comments before booking directly with the accommodation managers who had already put me on notice of the unkindness and lack of empathy of these people. A fortnight ago, before our ACS was burning, I decided to book a night here. I like to do it directly with the establishments, as a way to support local commerce rather than continue to favor middlemen. The answer from the manager was the same price and 50% payment per bizum. I agreed despite not having any advantage over the online booking platform, moreover, losing the option of free prior cancellation. The bad luck has been that a very large area of León and the Palentine Mountain, as well as Zamora and Avila are burning, and despite waiting until the previous day, we decided out of prudence and common sense to inform the Hotel of our doubts. According to them everything was perfectly and without problem, and directly their answer is that if we are not going to go we will notify as they have people waiting for the room. Zero kindness, zero. What’s more, he later decides to make a call to ‘pressure me’ and tell him if I’m going or not, despite sending him official fire information relatively close to the area. The next day they send me pictures of the road near Riaño with visible flames and despite sending it to them insist that we can go and, come on, that if I want well and if not.... well I know. We told you about the exceptional situation of cancellation due to the fires and whether we will be refunded the amount of the reservation, and I remain unanswered except that they have the house full and people are partying there. I will certainly never be seen by this establishment, I will let all my people know how they manage problems with customers and, of course, that they never contract directly but with platforms that guarantee a minimum of rights to the customer. Incidentally, I regret that I didn’t read more of your responses to other customers’ comments on the booking platform because tb had seen that lack of education and self-criticism (in case you want to check it directly).

Visiting family
We stayed at this Rural Inn in the town of Cofiñal, in the north part of Leon, Spain. It is a well kept place. The rooms are comfortable. They offer a typical Spanish breakfast, consisting of café con leche, toast, assorted pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice. The place is perfect for seeing this beautiful part of Spain. It's a cozy and cute rural inn. Don't expect lots of extras or high end accommodations, but a friendly staff and clean rooms. Get out and enjoy the beautiful views.

Teníamos reserva con booking con de ellos, nos cobraron una noche cuando paso la cancelación gratuita hasta ahí todo normal, llegó la situación de alarma por coronavirus y el hotel pospuso la reserva, se negaron a reembolsarme el dinero, y una vez cobrada la noche informaron a Booking de que mi tarjeta era invalida y que no habían cargado nada... Están denunciados. Parece mentira que en una situación de emergencia sanitaria nos encontremos con este tipo de gente.

Sorpresa
El alojamiento está situado al norte de la provincia de León yo diría que lejos de todo, especialmente por las carreteras de la zona que por cierto es muy bonito. La habitación limpia, no muy grande pero suficiente, baño con luz natural y se agradece. Pero los ruidos de otras habitaciónes y escaleras se escuchaban demasiado. También nos sorprendió y molesto el intenso olor a comidas que subió varias noches y bastante rato. La información que nos dio el dueño fue muy escasa, que la wifi prácticamente sólo servía para enviar algún whatsapp y que teníamos que decir la hora del desayuno. Lo mínimo imprescindible y necesario para no ser mal educados.
Los desayunos indicar que había abundante bollería industrial que apenas se consumía, el café malísimo. El zumo, las tostadas y el tomate muy agradables. El aparcamiento muy bien.
