Marvelous
Starting with the room, very nice and comfortable. I had read some comments about the mattresses or the noises. And I have to say, as I imagined, that you cannot expect that for just over €60 you can sleep on mattresses like those at the Palace Hotel. However, it is a matter of taste. We have slept very well. The room, as I say, super cute and comfortable. On the other hand, the noises from what I have seen in the comments are not the hotel's problem, but rather the people who are not aware that they are not alone.
On the other hand, I want to highlight the kindness of José Antonio, the owner, his employees, son and wife who cooks like angels. Its gastronomy is absolutely recommended. Everything homemade and quality.
Thank you so much everyone. We have felt better than at home.

Unfortunate. We've been left lying around
We have had our room cancelled within 24 hours when I booked and paid without cancellation option over a month ago. Talking to them they don't give me any solution, in their words... not their problem

Very nice place!
Very nice hostel, and nice rooms. Breakfast is reasonably priced and the restaurant has a great menu. However, the only thing I would change is the bed’s headboard, which was not properly stuck to the bed and made a noise all night, which made it hard to sleep. Apart from that, everything was very good!

Overnight stay
Found this lovely place on the Internet while travelling to southern Spain, rang the contact number on the door & the host arrived quickly.
Lovely room, clean, spacious & comfortable.
Take a ride up to the windmills! We went early morning & it is wonderful!

Five night room only stay to explore the local villages and Don Quixote route
Hosts Antonio and Rosina couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that the inn closes daily at around 6pm but you are given, with your room key, a separate side door guest entrance key. There is a notice outside the premises giving you their telephone number to call, should you arrive outside of these hours.
Car parking is on the street out front and down the side. Very safe and free of charge. We arrived around 12 noon and after registering and dropping off our cases had their Menu Del Dia which was rather nice. The included wine was very good indeed. Many Spanish eating there which is always a good sign. We breakfasted daily at the tiny small Spanish bar on the nearest corner to the Posada, which was extremely good value. Their pugars (sm crusty filled roll about the size of a hotdog roll) at 2.50 euros each were extremely good value for money with loads of different fillings on offer. 6.50 euros for the two of us including a white and a black coffee. Would highly recommend the landladies home made tortilla, one of the best we have ever tasted and we live in Spain. Would recommend when going out and about that the cheapest and best option is Menu Del Dia which comes out at around 9-12 euros a head and is served normally from either 1.30 or 2pm in most restaurants on a daily basis.
Restaurante Castilla in Calle Senrovio, 18 was extremely good. The day we went they were serving Spanish Cocida which is served in two parts. The broth with pasta as a first course and the main course consisted of the meat ( pieces of chicken, pork & beef) with the vegetables and chickpeas. Delicious.
Sideria Villarey in Calle Plus Ultra, 7 was a revelation. We ate there, a la carte, one evening about 8pm. Chuleton steak for my hubby (which is similar to a T-bone steak but with only one bone) and inch thick and almost completely filled his plate. Cooked to perfection when asked for medium rare. My hubby is a VERY healthy eater and couldn't quite finish it. The 7/8 chips served with it were hardly necessary as he only ate two of them. Was either 17.00 or 19.00 euros (can't recall which) and an absolute bargain. I had their Cachopa steak as I was intrigued by the explanation of what it consisted of. Imagine a cooked 12" x 6", quarter inch thick rump steak folded over and inside stuffed with just enough local Manchego cheese as not to be overwhelmed by cheese and also thin slices of Iberian Serrano ham. The whole then served in an extremely thin batter, to hold it together. Marvellous. Never tasted anything like it previously anywhere. 14.00 euros. Served with 7/8 chips which again were again not necessary as I only ate two. Couldn't eat a sweet but had a black coffee with brandy to follow.
The castle at Consuegra is well worth a visit. Views are fabulous. You can park (free) just outside the walls
The main windmills, further up (where you can also park (free) are well worth a visit. One of the ones at the top has a gift shop which has reasonable prices, unlike the one on the way up to the castle, which is next to the tourist office ( with again free parking) is not as good and the prices are higher.
