Decent value apartments in Corralejo
I stayed here for a week and booked based mainly on price and location for what you get as all inclusive here isn't all that. I would rather have a fridge here and fill it with San Miguel. These apartments are surrounded by a communal pool which is cleaned daily. 100 or so apartments in this block. It is relaxed and on the outskirts of Corralejo closer to the dunes national park and kite beach. It costs 3 euros in taxis from the front door to the town centre so the location is fine. There is a short cut rapid route the taxi takes after it turns right where the shopping centre is (less than 5 mins walk). I would happily stay here again or grab one of the beach front places that I missed out on which are all great value.

Old equipment, Poor management, Bed Bugs but met other great guests!
I stayed 1 week at las Dunas SurfCamp from the 16th until the 23rd of November 2014.
The camp was full of other friendly travellers from all over Europe.
I had initially asked to be placed in the 4 person room, and the manager had explained that there would be no problem. However, upon arrival I was placed in the 8 person room because they did not have any more room. Sleeping was difficult since there were 1 other staff member who was in the room who snored very loudly. I later discovered that the bed I was staying on had bed bugs.
Most nights, there were drinking games in the living room with the travellers which were a lot of fun if you were playing, but was very noisy if you wanted to sleep early after a full day of surfing.
The surf instructors were good and spent some time outside the water to explain all the risks involved.
Finally, the manager explained that she would send all the pictures and the invoice to us via email after the trip -after 3 reminder emails - I have given up on getting either of those.
Overall I think the trip could have been much better with a more helpful manager.

Great atmosphere and value
I stayed for one week in Las Dunas in Summer 2014. The camp was full with many friendly people from all over the world during my stay. However, it did not feel too crowded as everybody were out on the beach or the town most of the time.
The manager was also very helpful - he even gave us a small excursion to the nearby volcano. Group dinner was organized in the terrace (paella!) on one of the evenings, which was very fun.
Overall it was a good place to meet people and to submerge in relaxing atmosphere. Recommended if travelling alone.

la mejor isla canaria
L'Hotel si trova nella posizione migliore di Corralejo. Camera pulita e personale disponibile e preparato. Un particolare grazie a Lorenzo che ci ha suggerito come visitare l'isola. Abbiamo noleggiato direttamente dall'albergo bici ed auto utilizzate per le escursioni. Da rifare appena possibile.

Un timo en toda regla
Para empezar no se preocupante cuando llegas al aeropuerto, buscate la vida con el bus o un taxi, llegas a la casa y no hay nadie atendiendo. Cuando llamas aparece un chico el cual no trabaja allí, pero ayuda, alucinante. La casa esta hecha un desastre, sucia, todo lleno de pelos, hay perros de amigos de el que cuida la casa, limpian solo un día a la semana y encima te dicen que de vez en cuando tú ayudes a limpiar, las camas súper incomodas, los baños dan asco, es decir que las fotos de la web son engañosas, de hecho cuando llegue estuve a punto de irme a otro surfcamp, porque no había nadie recibiéndome y las condiciones eran pessimas, al igual que un chica que llego posterior a mí. Te tienes que comprar tu la comida, hasta aquí bien, cuando abres la nevera llenisima de productos y la mitad caducados, con un olor desagradable, a parte según el cuidador son de las personas que están por allí, pero no es así, porque hacia el final de mis días allí eramos 6 personas y seguía llena hasta arriba, fue muy desagradable, tienes que limpiar los platos a mano. El cuidador va todo el día fumado y con una actitud que no ayuda a la convivencia. Dice en la web que hay bicis pero no es así. Un tema a parte es la escuela, la escuela es a parte del surfcamp, muy mal educados, con trato de superioridad por parte del jefe. El primer día ya tuvimos problemas con él, simplemente porque queriamos surfear y no nos dejavan el material. No hacen distinción por niveles, íbamos de niños de 3 años hasta adultos y todos con 2 monitores. Juntan los que alquilan material con los de surfcamp. Te dicen que son 2 horas de surf, pero reales son 1, ya que es según ellos desde que te pasan a buscar hasta que llegas a la playa, la parte teórica te obligan hacerla cada día. A parte cada día viene gente nueva. Los monitores se ponían a surfear ellos cuando había buenas olas, no te ayudaban o aconsejavan, simplemente te decían rema y te empujavan una vez en toda la sesión, es decir grupos muy masificados. Todo y eso eran buenos monitores. Otra cosa que me pareció mal fue que el cuidador siempre come de la comida que pagamos los cliente sin aportar él nada. Su excusa es decir que tenemos razón que la organización no es buena pero que la gente se lo pasa muy bien ya que allí permiten mas que en otras casas. Por otra parte no saben quien a pagado y quien no, a una compañera mía le decían que pagara a mano, es decir en negro ya que como el surfcamp es de Asturias luego tiene problemas de gestión, una vergüenza. El día de la cabalgada de reyes se fueron el cuidador y 4 más a verla y dejaron sin avisar a todos los demás en la casa, así que nos tibiamos que espabilar, es decir no hacen piña con la gente. En conclusión me llevo la parte positiva de la gente, que era espectacular, pero el sitio es pésimo. Si quieres aprender a surfear no es el sitio adecuado, si quieres ir a fumar y "relaxarte" quizás si es el sitio idoneo.
