Peaceful place in beautiful Cuenca.
We loved our stay here. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. We loved the quiet reading room on the top floor which gave us great views of the city. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff were very helpful. Highly recommended!

Stayed here with my family for the night. Perfect location, beautiful building, and parking available too. Staff were really helpful, and the room was lovely and spacious. I would definitely stay here again.

Boutique hotel with history and a central location, friendly and attentive service

Accommodation with a very good location, right next to the Plaza Mayor, in the heart of Cuenca, ideal for getting around on foot to all points of interest. The hotel is cozy and quiet, with a very pleasant atmosphere. Very functional, warm, and comfortable room, with everything necessary to enjoy a pleasant stay. It has rooms to enjoy reading, views, or simply to hang out. The breakfast was very good, pastries, churros, croissants, bread, cold cuts.... The service is consistent with what has been written so far, the staff was very attentive at all times, mindful of every detail. I would definitely stay again

Great location, clean, comfortable and very welcoming

What can I say? The welcome we received was warm and friendly, the accommodation was excellent and the view from our room was wonderful. The Hospideria is very well located in the centre of the old town. The buffet breakfast was very good with a variety of offerings and well priced (10 euros), especially compared to other hotels in Spain. The Hospideria is a beautiful old building with a long history that makes it all the more special. Ask for a room with a view-it’s worth it. I would recommend the Hospideria.

Disconnection and silence

Without a doubt, the location of the Hospedería is ideal, right next to the Plaza Mayor, although if one wants to move around the modern area as well, one will have to keep in mind that to go and return, the hills are one of the identities of Cuenca (in fact, access to the building is by going up a somewhat steep hill). The room I stayed in, with views of the gorge (305), was very spacious, quiet, and everything was very clean. Everywhere and in comments I had read that there was no television in the rooms, but to my surprise, there was a smart TV, and although I am not one to turn on the TV when I am on vacation, it was very useful for music on YouTube.
It is not a hotel as such, you notice it as soon as you walk through its hallways and common areas; it is a seminary and obviously it shows in the decoration (even in the room with the crucifix above the bed), but the stay is pleasant. The breakfast on the ground floor was assorted with a little bit of everything. The welcome from the girl who was at the door of the room every morning was most kind to start the day.
As a suggestion, what I do see as necessary is for the room window to have a screen (like they have in the breakfast room) so that it can be opened to the natural area without any bugs getting in. Upon arriving from a walk on my first night, I found a huuuuge moth on the bed that there was no way to get rid of. I managed to confine it to the bathroom, but I discovered that the next day when I saw it dead on the floor. So between moths and flies, a screen would be ideal to avoid unwanted intruders that make the stay uncomfortable.
