Faded family elegance.....perfect!

Out of all the hotels we stayed in, this was our clear favourite and the one we return to in a heartbeat. if you are a bit fussy and like everything just so then maybe not for you. If you like that old feeling of character, family and faded opulence, and you are happy with an old track, a paddock car park, no TV and great home family cooking then that is what we saw and felt. It is out of the way and made us feel very happy. By the way, the breakfasts are amazing, but as in the whole area, take your own Marmite!

Unfortunate

A stay to forget. We arrived and the room we had booked had been given to others. They put us the first night in another scary room, with broken and loose bathroom floor tiles, blankets of the year of maricastaña, floors creaking, etc.
The second night we were put in what was once a “remodeled” stable. The mattress squeaked, it was a spring box spring and I don't want to count anymore.
Breakfast 12€ per person and dinner 30, if you order separate wine. At the insistence of the owner I asked for the pitu and they put 3 pieces, one of them was the thorn. The owner was embarrassed and they changed my plate.
Anyway, what I said at the beginning, to forget and not come back.

Good deal, little cleaning

Poor cleanliness, even the sheets did not seem clean let alone ironed.
The smell entering the Palace is a stale smell.
Good breakfast. Tortilla regulin (undercooked potatoes)
Tomato for toast is not natural. The rest of the breakfast pretty good.
Summary: good treatment, little cleaning

Very nice

We have been there 4 days, 3 nights. Excellent service, all the staff who work have treated us very kindly and with great affection, they are attentive to everything at all times.
The breakfast buffet is spectacular, all the food is very good, every day they even offer you extra dishes. The only thing to highlight is that the hours are from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., a point to improve if it were earlier.
The room was very nice and large.
The views are very beautiful, it has private parking.

Fabes colunga day

We went with friends to the gastronomic event menu of the Colunga fabes and the first and second courses were very well prepared but very small portions. The desserts were bad, red wine from Rioja was very good. It had already happened to us on another occasion. They have to be more Generous. I don't think we will repeat, some diners were left hungry.
