Great get away
This hotel has just undergone a full refurbishment and the room we had was nice modern and comfy. The positioning of hotel is perfect only 20 min walk to centre of Cala d’Or and a few mins to beach. My only criticism is that some nights the food choice was hit and miss and the fact that getting a sunbed was hard unless you got up early or mid afternoon.

Could not beat the views from this hotel. Definitely recommend a sea view room. Very clean around the accommodation (although we did have an ant infestation which was eradicated as soon as we told reception). Our first two nights had a power cut which meant no water, WiFi, lights, charging points, or lifts (which was hard being on the fourth floor). However, the hotel compensated by allowing us to keep our room and AI for the last day of our stay which was very much appreciated. The reception staff were a credit to the hotel. Couldn’t be more helpful. Ridiculously long queue for the bar. One member of staff on an evening wasn’t great. Spent half an hour waiting each time. Entertainment was basic at best. Location was fantastic, few minutes walk to anything you’d need. Nowhere near enough sunloungers so if you’re not there early or want to go out in the morning you’ve no chance of a chill later in the day. Not everything is all inclusive and the snacks are very limited (sliced bread put on the side of the bar with cheese and ham to put on it)
Food was ok. If you like seafood you’re laughing, if not then don’t go all inclusive. Not a lot of choice but what was there was well cooked and flavoursome.
Pool area could do with an upgrade.
Hotel manager was lovely and very accommodating and keen to help.
Overall; Helpful reception team, short on other staff, clean, food ok, fabulous location, entertainment not great. Would I go back? Probably not but would definitely return to the same area.

DISSAPOINTED
This is an honest review, not just your usual rant. We are both in our 60s & been on many 4 Star Hotel holidays.
Things seemed fine to start with. Food seemed fine. Breakfast. Lunch were fine. Bye the the 3rd evening in a row of pork as the main meal, things started to get a tad tedious.
The aircon in our room was non existent, therefore we asked the receptionist to get it checked out if possible. To be fair the engineer was there in no time at all. He informed us it was at 17 degrees & that was that,!!
We had to ask for toilet rolls, then towels after the room had supposedly been cleaned.The balcony was only cleaned once in the 2 weeks we were there. Not acceptable for a 4 star holiday in my opinion.
SUNBEDS!!!Wow that was an eye opener. If you left your bed, for 15 mins, the lifeguard would lift all your belongings, put them on a table at the end of the bed and someone else could have the bed. We saw people twice about coming to blows. The most stupidest thing we had ever seen regarding sunbeds.
Entertainment was non existent except for 1 act ( 2 female singer who were actually quite entertaining).
The pool area was filthy with green slime around the inside of the pool. You had to move the empty glasses etc in the morning if you wanted a sun bed.
The bar & restaurant staff tried their best and were pleasant .
As I said earlier we never do reviews but for the life of me I don’t get how people can say this hotel is amazing. It certainly doesn’t deserve a 4 star rating in my opinion.

Lovely area - average hotel
Location fantastic, amazing views.
Rooms are standard but have been refurbished well.
Food is very basic and nothing to rave about, I would not recommend doing all inclusive as the selection is very repetitive and if you are there for 2 weeks like us you will easily get bored of it!
Pool snacks are literally some bread and cheese, need more on offer.
Staff are very friendly, big shout out to Mo on front desk and Esmerelda at the pool bar!
Biggest gripe however is the pool area as a whole, it is dirty and never cleaned. The pool itself is cleaned daily but the surrounding areas are not maintained at all. Majority of sunloungers are broken and there is litter everywhere. Tables are not wiped down each day after use and the area is always left in a dissary!
The hotel need to invest in more staff for the bars as you are regularly waiting in a queue for a drink more so in the evening.
We experienced a power cut on our last night which was an inconvenience and would not mention it if it had not happened a few days before we arrived as well (known from speaking to other guests) - there is clearly an issue and they need to rectify it ASAP. Power cuts in 40 degree heat are not fun!
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would revisit Cala D’or but would not stay at this hotel again in its current state.

Even the soap smelled expensive !!
Great Location. You can jump into the sea from the hotel pool area if you would like to.
Stayed Room only. The hotel has had a complete refurb and it has been really well done Its now Adults only but still caters for everyone The Brits, Europeans, Africans, The Handicapped and The Americans. Rooms are nice equipped with kettle and coffee pod machine. Also a fridge which is a nice welcome. These are cleaned daily and to a nice standard. Think Mr Sheen but in Spanish. Senor Sheen. Can't comment on food as I've already explained. I WAS ROOM ONLY.
Absolutely no beds at all even at 9 am. Which meant going to the beach every day. No real hardship as its a great beach. Cala Ferrera cove is IMO the best Cove in Cala D'or.
All the staff we dealt with were as they were very great as usual. Some of the old staff I didn't see and some that had left have now returned. Maybe they have got a job at Aldi !!
