Overall, better than expected!
We’ve just finished an 8-night stay at Servatur Isora Suites and, after reading some of the recent reviews before coming, I was honestly really apprehensive and had absolutely no idea what to expect. I’m actually glad to say that, overall, we found it much better than we were expecting.
The room:
The rooms definitely need some renovation and are looking a little tired, but honestly they were nowhere near as bad as I was expecting from some of the reviews. Both the bedroom beds and sofa bed were comfortable, which is important when you’re travelling with kids.
Cleanliness:
I genuinely cannot fault the cleaning. The maids came into our room every day and did a great job. They even left our pyjamas all nicely arranged at the end of the bed . Everywhere was constantly being cleaned and you can see how hard the staff work to keep the hotel clean.
Food:
This is probably the biggest area where I think the hotel could improve.
The snack bar is below what I would expect from a 4* hotel. On my first day I actually bit into a chicken burger that was raw inside, which obviously wasn't great. The food wasn't particularly appealing and became very repetitive. It also would have been nice to have something like a pizza oven, especially as we've stayed at other Servatur hotels where this was available.
The main restaurant was OK. Not amazing, but definitely not terrible. There was always something for us and the kids to eat. I've had much better food in 4* all-inclusive hotels, but I've also had much worse.
The biggest issue for me was the flies. I completely understand that the weather probably contributes to this, but I've honestly never experienced a hotel buffet with so many flies. They were everywhere. On one occasion the buffet had literally only just opened and I counted six flies on one piece of cheese . I really think this needs addressing from a hygiene point of view.
The staff:
Mostly wonderful and they work incredibly hard.
A special mention has to go to Brahim, who worked on the bar in the afternoons and evenings. He remembered that I drink wine and would actually have it ready for me when I approached the bar . He always served us with a smile and genuinely made our evenings. Thank you, Brahim!
Also Gerardo at breakfast, who greeted us with a handshake and a smile every morning. Such a lovely touch and he really made us feel welcome.
All Inclusive Plus:
I'm actually really glad that we ended up with All Inclusive Plus. This meant we could have wine and branded drinks, which made a noticeable difference for us. We also had a separate seating area. We're definitely not snobbish but the hotel is very busy at this time of year, so it was lovely to have somewhere a little quieter away from the hustle and bustle.
At breakfast and in the evening, our drinks order was also taken at the table because we were All Inclusive Plus, which was a really nice touch.
Pool:
The kids were really disappointed that the pool slide wasn't open. It was open on our first day and they absolutely loved it, but unfortunately it was closed every day after that.
Entertainment:
I'm sorry, but the evening entertainment really wasn't very good . I don't mean to moan, but it genuinely was poor. There isn't a huge amount else to do in the hotel in the evenings, so this was a shame.
We did Siam Park Night one evening to give us a break from the hotel and I would HIGHLY recommend doing this. There was hardly any queuing compared with the daytime and we had a brilliant evening.
Overall:
Would I return? Honestly, probably not. We've stayed in better 4* all-inclusive hotels.
BUT... given all the negative reviews I had read beforehand, I can honestly say that we found the hotel much better than we expected.
There are definitely things that need improving, particularly the food variety, flies and entertainment, and the rooms could do with some renovation. But the staff work incredibly hard, the hotel is clean, there was always something for us to eat, and we had a good holiday.
So if you've booked this hotel and are now panicking because you've read all the recent reviews... try not to worry too much! We were pleasantly surprised. ❤️

We appreciate your comments on the variety of food, the flies around the buffet, and the evening entertainment. We’re sorry that some aspects of your experience didn’t reflect the perfect, enjoyable stay we strive to provide.

Honest Review – Disappointing Experience
Check-in
From the moment we arrived, check-in felt very rushed. The lady on reception didn’t seem particularly interested in helping us, and we weren’t given any information about the hotel facilities, locations, local trips, towel hire, safes or other useful information.
A more welcoming and informative check-in would certainly have given us a better first impression.
Our Room
Our party had booked two rooms – one for a family and one for a solo guest. Strangely, the solo guest appeared to have a much larger bedroom than the family room, which didn’t make much sense. We were also placed in two completely different blocks, nowhere near each other.
On entering our room, it looked reasonably clean and adequate, but in our opinion it certainly didn’t feel like a 4-star room. It gave more of a basic 3-star, or even “Pontins”, impression.
Some of the amenities advertised as being available in the room, such as the hairdryer and TV, didn’t work.
The shower screen also didn’t secure properly, which resulted in my son falling while showering and banging and bruising his chest on the side of the bath. Thankfully, he wasn’t seriously injured, but this was obviously very concerning.
One of our biggest concerns was that one side of our patio doors wouldn’t lock or secure properly. This was worrying enough, but being on the ground floor made it even more concerning.
Maintenance eventually came to look at it, but the only solution offered was to secure the doors from the middle, meaning we could only open one side.
Unfortunately, this clearly wasn’t secure. On one occasion, our key card stopped working – something that happened several times during our stay – and my partner simply leaned against the right-hand patio door and it slid open.
This meant that anyone could potentially have accessed our room.
We raised our concerns with both reception and maintenance. We were told the hotel was at full capacity and that we couldn’t be moved to another room. Instead, we were told they would attempt to fix the door again the following morning. Unfortunately, nobody ever came.
Food & Drink
This was, without a doubt, the most disappointing part of our stay.
We have travelled all-inclusive on every holiday since our son was born. We’ve experienced some excellent hotels and some that we felt could have been better, but I have to be honest and say that this was the worst all-inclusive experience we have ever had.
When we arrived late, we were told there would be cold sandwiches available in the fridge in the bar and that we could help ourselves to a drink. We ordered some soft drinks and an apple juice for our 6-year-old son, only to be told that apple juice wasn’t included in the all-inclusive drinks package and was only available in the restaurant at breakfast.
For children, the only alternatives appeared to be fizzy drinks or water.
I clearly wasn’t the only guest who raised concerns about this, as an apple and orange juice machine was eventually introduced in the snack bar during our stay. However, we still couldn’t get apple juice from the main bar in the evenings.
The restaurant was another major issue. Every morning and evening, we would queue for around 20 minutes just to get inside. The restaurant simply cannot cope comfortably when the hotel is at full capacity, and at times it was absolute chaos.
On one occasion, we managed to get a table and were already eating when it reached 10am, with an enormous queue still waiting outside. Everyone was then allowed in because breakfast was coming to an end, but there were no tables left and very limited food and choice available.
The hotel is missing a real opportunity by not opening the snack bar as a more family-friendly restaurant in the evenings, or perhaps offering an à la carte option, which could take some pressure off the main buffet restaurant.
We are not fussy eaters at all, but every evening there seemed to be something that was either cold or not properly cooked by the time you returned to your table. Certain options regularly ran out, and on one occasion my partner was even told there was no bread left at lunchtime.
There appears to be a lot of choice, but much of it is simply variations of the same vegetables or dishes that nobody seems to be choosing. On some evenings, the best option available was pasta with a basic tomato sauce.
Honestly, I eat better at home.
One morning towards the end of our stay, my partner was getting some eggs that had been prepared on a tray. The chef lifted an egg over him to place it on the plate of a gentleman who had, in our opinion, pushed in front of my partner. Unfortunately, boiling hot oil dripped onto my partner’s hand, leaving him with two burns.
We reported this to what appeared to be the restaurant manager, who was very apologetic and spoke to the chef involved. However, he also asked whether we had any burn cream. When we said no, he took our room number and said he would look into it.
Unfortunately, this turned out to be another promise that wasn’t followed up.
Animation Team
The animation team are a real credit to the hotel.
They work incredibly hard and constantly have activities taking place around the active pool throughout the day. Although we didn’t have much personal interaction with them, they were always friendly and enthusiastic, and I genuinely cannot fault them.
Pools & Facilities
The facilities are one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, and I imagine they are a huge attraction for other families too. There are three lovely pools, a slide, football pitch, park and other activities.
However, for the majority of our stay there appeared to be only one lifeguard covering the slide, which seemed inadequate given how busy it was.
The football pitch is also very small considering how many children want to use it at the same time. There is no member of staff supervising it, so parents are left to manage things themselves. Unfortunately, this led to several disagreements and, on one occasion, even a fight between adults.
There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available, although guests do put towels out extremely early in the morning. That said, during the summer holidays and peak season, I imagine this is an issue at many hotels.
Main Bar
The bar just off the main reception was another disappointment.
The staff were generally not particularly friendly and sometimes gave the impression that serving drinks was an inconvenience, despite guests already having paid for an all-inclusive package.
In the evenings, they would even try to serve drinks in plastic or paper cups unless you specifically asked for a glass.
There was also absolutely no atmosphere. No music, no TVs showing sport and very few people spending any time there. The bar really needs a complete revamp, and during our stay it was also full of flies.
Overall Impression
When we booked this hotel, one of the words we repeatedly saw in reviews and descriptions was “Instagrammable”. Unfortunately, we found it to be quite the opposite.
The rooms are very basic, while some of the communal areas looked tired and dirty and were in need of a good clean, a fresh coat of paint and a complete refurbishment. In some areas, it honestly felt more like a 2- or 3-star property than a 4-star hotel.
Despite everything, we did have a nice holiday because we made the best of our time there and enjoyed spending time together as a family. However, the hotel itself was a major disappointment.
We spoke to several other guests during our stay who felt similarly, and based on our experience, we would not return.
I’m sure some people have had a fantastic experience here, and perhaps our expectations were simply different after reading so many positive recent reviews. However, based on our own experience, we would struggle to recommend this hotel as a 4-star all-inclusive resort.
If you are looking for a basic hotel and are happy to pay 4-star prices for what we felt was closer to a 3-star experience, then this may be for you. Unfortunately, for us, it fell well short of expectations.

We are truly sorry to hear that your stay did not reflect the experience you anticipated. We understand how important a warm welcome, a comfortable room, and seamless dining and bar experiences are to a relaxing holiday.
Your detailed perspective on check-in, room setup and amenities, restaurant flow, bar ambience, and pool facilities is appreciated. What you describe is not the level of comfort, safety, and hospitality we want our guests to feel, and we regret that your time with us did not meet those standards.
We are grateful for your recognition of our animation team and the family-friendly facilities. They work hard to bring energy to the day, and it is encouraging to know that came through.
Thank you for taking the time to share such thorough feedback. Our goal is to provide a consistently welcoming environment with attentive service, well-maintained accommodations, and enjoyable dining, and we are disappointed that this was not your impression.
We hope you will consider giving us another opportunity in the future so we can better demonstrate the experience our team strives to deliver.

Not a 4 star establishment but staff are
We arrived early hours were given our rooms which were in the main road with no locks on the patio doors and very dirty. We were AI plus none of the stuff that came with that were there, we were assured that it would be honoured by our tour company as had raised concerns before we left the UK. We were offered other rooms that day leNer but again broken sofa bed in one room and the patio doors this time didn’t open. After some discussion with there and the hotel these couldn’t be fixed so moved to an upgraded room. We wee so fed up and had wasted a day so took them again no locks on patio doors and a daily flood from the air con.
Basically if you get a cheap deal it may be ok for some people but paying 6k to stay here we’ve been well and truly ripped off. Unkempt rooms, walkways and furniture. Restaurant ran out of food but the flies had a good feast as well as the cockroaches. 3 out of 4 of us were ill after the 2nd day so we ate out after this! The daytime entertainment is good but most of the equipment in the hotel is broken. The staff are all lovely and feel sorry for them as they can only work with what they have which isn’t much. Stinks. Read before you book.
Firstly, the hotel was categorised as 4*. I’m very much “you get what you pay for” so was dubious about the rating to begin with. It’s not 4*.
That’s not a big deal though, I can live with that.
The food is typical all inclusive. Not the best, not the worst. The fact they run out of food is annoying, and you have to queue to get in the restaurant. Again, not the end of the world. What is, however, is the stench. If you’re seated in the wrong place in the restaurant you get a god awful drain smell. How anyone was eating sitting at the back outside is beyond me. Add the flies, which I understand is unavoidable but there where hundreds of you eat outside, and the place made you feel dirty. We stopped eating there and spent more than we should have eating out.
Entertainment - again, not amazing, but not the worst. Bit odd that it’s out the hotel and across the road and come 22:45 it finishes then I’ve got a 5 min walk back to the main bar if you’re not happy just to go to bed.
Pools are ok. The main pool you need to be up before 07:30. The smaller one near the baby pool is ok for beds most of the day. One pool has a slide which the kids love, however the life guards (who just sit on their phones guarding nothing) randomly closed it seemingly when they got bored. Shut it early a few times with no reason and really rude about it, then closed completely for the last 3 days without warning. Also the pool advertised in for the kids pool isn’t even there anymore.
Rooms - basic. Dirty. The pull out beds are horrendous. Thats if you’re lucky enough to have them made up. No toilet roll when we got there and no clean towels. And our room stuck of sewage for want of a better word. The cleaner told us it was the drains. Even our kids complained. Hotel manager didn’t seemed surprised when we complained, just offered to move us (after we’d unpacked a family of 4 into our room).
The same smell seems to come and go throughout the day. Somehow the freezers in the bar aren’t cold enough to freeze the ice cream as well. Small detail but should be pretty basic.
As for the area, the resort is tiny. Very hilly when you go into playa de la arena and not much in the way of bars, food places or much of anything really. You can walk from the hotel, through the resort and back in 25 minutes.
And lastly, the smell. Jesus. Maybe you’ll get lucky and get a room that doesn’t smell like a sewer, maybe you’ll get decent seats every night at the restaurant and not have to eat with one hand over your nose. It’s a big risk though.
Honestly, the smell.
We complained to Jet2 who promised us someone would be in touch but guess what? Nothing. This is an embarrassment to Jet2. If you’ve already booked it get in touch and tell them you need to change it. Any redeeming features it has are outweighed by that smell.
I can’t begin to describe the anger at our summer holiday being ruined.
You’ve been warned. Stay away.

Slightly disappointing all inclusive visit
The pools were very clean and the daily entertainment was fantastic with staff working exceptionally hard to encourage and incorporate both adults and children alike into activities. Although the slide was broken for pretty much the whole of our stay it appeared that towards the end of the holiday the hotel had started to bring in inflatables to improve the experience of guests - which a lot of smaller children were definitely making good use of. If this was true it is clear that the management listen to the complaints of guests and make changes as and where appropriate and necessary.
Many of the sun beds had seen better days and many were uncomfortable and had cracked frames but they were plentiful. There were however some metal parasol poles sunk into the floor which were at best a trip hazard and at worse dangerous. Staff eventually marked them once a guest had been injured by them but this was probably a little too late! There were absolutely no rules about reserving sun beds and many sun beds were being reserved the day before with the hotel staff unwilling or unable to do anything about it. By 8:30am pretty much all sun beds had been taken but if there are no rules and no policing of the reservation of them I am not surprised. There were no clear rules about what could and what couldn’t be done around the pool and in the pool with a mixed response from the lifeguards on duty.
The pool bar was excellent and the capability to get drinks, snacks and ice creams was great during the day. The restaurant food was ok and there was plenty of choice however it was often very “samey” which became a little tiring and boring towards the end of the week.
The evening entertainment was good with the highlight being Johnny Circus. Again, the entertainment staff again worked exceptionally hard to keep the kids entertained during the early part of the evening with highlights being the quiz and karaoke as well as the bubbly disco for the really small children.
The all inclusive drinks were a little hard to fathom as wine wasn’t included on normal all inclusive- it was on all inclusive+ - but you were able to have a glass with food ♂️. However the measures of spirits were generous and it appeared as we left that wine pumps were being fitted so maybe wine is going to be included in the future.
Overall the hotel was comfortable but not quite the 4* we were expecting but as it has just been taken over by a new company I feel that it is a work in progress rather than the completed article at the moment. We had a nice holiday and would possibly come back to Tenerife (possibly a little further south as the area was just a little too quiet and a long to travel for attractions) and we possibly would go back to Servatur Isora Apartment (Allegro Isora) but it probably wouldn’t be top of the list!

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and honest account of your stay. We appreciate that you highlighted the efforts of our entertainment and housekeeping teams, the cleanliness of the pools, and the comfort of the pool bar.
We’re sorry to hear that some aspects of your experience didn’t meet your expectations. What you describe isn’t the impeccable, well-maintained environment we strive to provide, and we understand how important comfort, clarity, and consistency are for a relaxing vacation.
Your observations regarding the facilities, safety awareness, and poolside practices are very valuable to us. We want every aspect of your stay—from the room to the lounge chairs and dining—to reflect our commitment to quality and guest care.
We’re glad to hear that, despite everything, you enjoyed many aspects of your visit and that you’d consider returning. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with a smoother, more attentive experience that better reflects our standards.
