Special place... Everything goes along.

I was alone 4 years ago and now I'm back as a couple. It's still EXTRAORDINARY. EVERYTHING. The place, the quality of the facilities and the philosophy that goes with it. Very happy to have stayed in one of the rustic houses. The time I went alone I was in a studio and super well too! But I recognize that the little house as a couple accompanies a lot. I congratulate the team, the concept and the love that still exists to give rise to special places like this. We threaten to come back again! Bonne continua à vous.

A few days in paradise

Our stay at L’Avenc is best described as a few days in paradise. If you are seeking peace and quiet in a spectacular landscape this is the place to visit. Rugged cliffs, constantly changing light and big sky make this a very special place to relax, enjoy the pool and reset. After staying on the Catalan coast when it was “hace calor” the retreat up to L’Avenc (1000m) where it was cooler and less humid was wonderful. We stayed in one of the self-catering stone cottages. You need to be organised before arrival because the location is quite remote once you are there. The highlight - no pun intended - of the trip was a trek up to a viewing point to see the total eclipse of the sun, together with a welcome glass of Cava. Nature in this part of Catalunya is phenomenal. Sincere thanks to Belinda and the team at L’Avenc for making this such a memorable visit.
Top tip - approach L’Avenc from Tavertet, not following the SatNav single forest track route.
P.S. If you are self-catering don’t forget to take the coffee!

What a pity to throw away the fantastic environment and friendliness of the staff for various issues. Too much independence ideology, making Spanish disappear from all the texts of the hotel documents.
Company policy unclear when booking; first night and do not clean the room or change dirty towels. The explanation: in studies they do it every 3 days. However in the rooms every day. No matter if you pay more than 800€ for the 3 night stay...
More things... very ecological and very pro-nature but, do not go with electric car, the fees to charge it are abusive, with them you pay for the installation of solar panels.
And, we add that it is a place of peace, where they ask you to remain silent throughout the hotel, but the bark of dogs that allow in does not disturb either peace or silence... come on, man!

Quiet and fantastic place to hear the silence

It is a very quiet place, perfect for hugging trees, hiking, seeing spectacular ravines, screaming and not disturbing anyone.....
We were in one of the little houses. For us, two adults, a teenager and a child, it was perfect. Having kitchen we had absolute freedom with meal times.
It is a charming and modern place. It's perfect to disconnect. And with spectacular views.
Now, notice, there is only one access road.....with curves for all tastes....if you want to do tourism in the area, apart from Rupit, everything takes a bit far. The gas station and the supermarket, are very far from the resort....if you forget something.....it is a bit complicated because right there....little is there....
Otherwise, it is highly recommended. The place is beautiful.
