DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I have to start by saying how shocked I am that TUI have put their name to this hotel, over the years I've travelled all over the world with TUI and this hotel was absolutely shocking the worst I've ever stayed in. Advertising as a four star hotel is absolutely ludicrous.
I am in absolute shock that people have rated this place especially the food 5 stars. Iwonder what they eat at home!? Every dish was freezing cold I gave my 2 year old son carrots and they were frozen not even cooked at all, everything was the cheapest of the cheap raw pizzas freezing cold pasta and Bolognese. Complained and was told to use the microwave .
If your half board do not dare to take a fizzy drink they will surround your table with managers and waiters until you pay over 3 euros a glass, even though this is usually included it definitely isn't here and nothing will be explained to you at check in.
Fire alarm going off for over a hour during the night for no apparent reason, nobody came and told us what was going on. Shocking. Then after arriving back late after a day out at the theme park we were met with guests in handcuffs and guests unconscious 2 ambulances and 3 police cars!
And last but no least the entertainment staff are vile. I honestly hand on heart do not know where all these good reviews are from. The entertainment staff told me 2 year old son to get away and go away don't follow us because he followed the mascot into the hotel to in the inside stage, after asking what the problem was the Chinese guy savit I think his name he was part of the entertainment group he proceeded to stand and argue with me and try and speak down to me for a solid 5 minutes, when Asked what his name was he shouted CAN YOU NOT READ and pointed to his badge.
I raised all these complaints with TUI rep and the manager and they were as useless as the freezing cold food, gave us excuses and shrugged it off.
Not only this I witnessed elderly disabled people being treated with the utmost disrespect and treated as if they were a nuisance.
This is nothing more than a 2 star hotel I wouldn't return if you paid me!

We would like to clarify that our hotel operates according to the standards of its category, with our facilities and services regularly maintained and supervised. Our restaurant offers a varied selection throughout the different services, and the conditions of each meal plan, including which beverages are included, are established in the hotel information.
Regarding the animation team, our staff works every day to create a friendly and family-oriented atmosphere, particularly for our youngest guests.
The other situations you mention were exceptional circumstances and do not represent the hotel's normal operation.

Young family

This was or first time in Salou, La Pineda and location did not disappoint. This is outside Salou and a lot quieter but we liked that. Bus runs outside hotel every 20mins into Salou. We went as family of 3 child age 12. All inclusive board. Hotel was clean and beds made every morning and fresh towels if needed. I found beds uncomfortable but that is just my opinion. Food did not disappoint, there was always a great selection at every meal and the snack bar was open from 11.am to 7pm and done burgers, hotdogs, chips, sandwiches, salad and fruit and drinks. Entertainment throughout the day was great if you had a young family, but not much for older kids where as last holiday we done it catered for all age groups even adults got involved. So my 12 year old found it hard to make friends. Entertainment at night at 9.30pm was average. Overall we loved area and would definitely go back but would look for hotel for entertainment for older kids also. Staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. If you have a younger family then brilliant, pool has couple of slides and is fully managed with life guards.

All good for August and all inclusive

All in all a great holiday. We loved the location. The hotel was as expected for August, all inclusive. There was lots of choice of foods but most was over cooked or cold. We did eat out a few evenings to make up for it. The entertainment was good but did go on till 11pm. Not great for babies trying to sleep.
