Great experience
Fantastic couple of days staying in Occidental hotel staff were great happy,smiling, polite,
Helpfull,the people in las palmas were friendly, and polite, met quite a few nice people, had a nice walk to town centre, nice day,beaches were beautifully, and the outside swimming baths were fantastic,

Holiday - 5 days
Going to breakfast with young children by 10am is not easy and take away facility was available first 2 mornings but then we were told it wasn't allowed. Extremely disappointed as this is a service I paid for. So if the children were not up I had to pay extra to feed them somewhere else. Not considerate - I wouldn't take advantage of the situation or waste the food. So not happy!

We are sorry to hear that the breakfast arrangements were a source of disappointment for you, particularly when travelling with young children. We fully understand that getting the whole family ready and down to breakfast before 10:00 may not always be easy.
However, we would like to clarify that our breakfast hours are established for all guests and are clearly published on our website and on the different booking platforms through which our hotel is sold. As an urban hotel, our services and schedules are designed according to the needs of this type of property, and the established breakfast hours therefore apply equally to everyone.
Regarding the takeaway option, if our colleagues allowed you to take food away during the first two mornings, this was an exceptional gesture intended to assist you with your particular circumstances. Normally, taking food from the buffet outside the restaurant is not permitted, both in our hotel and as a general food-service and hygiene practice. We understand that having this option available initially and then being told it could not continue was confusing and disappointing, and we are sorry for the frustration this caused.
We fully appreciate that you were not intending to take advantage of the situation or waste food. Nevertheless, our colleagues were acting responsibly by applying the established regulations once the exceptional arrangement could no longer be maintained.
For families travelling with young children who particularly value more extensive or flexible meal schedules, a holiday-oriented property within the Barceló Hotel Group may perhaps be better suited to their needs. This is simply something we would recommend considering when planning a future family holiday.
Nevertheless, it has of course been a pleasure to welcome you to our hotel, and you will always be welcome here. We will also take note of your suggestion to see whether a solution could be found for the future.
We regret that this particular aspect affected your overall impression of your stay, and we sincerely hope that the positive aspects of your experience will also be remembered.

Good property
Modern property in a quiet area, near the GC-1, the island's main road, and in a fairly convenient location to reach the city's areas of interest. It takes half an hour on foot to get to the city beach of Playa de Las Canteras. Clean room, comfortable double bed, the third added sofa bed a bit less so, excellent soundproofing. Kind and helpful staff, ready to answer any question or need. Here and there some signs of neglected wear but overall a beautiful property. Good value for money

Unbeatable, very friendly service, clean and good location, I definitely recommend it and will return.
I loved it, service, cleanliness... the only thing I missed were the single-use slippers (to say something).
