An establishment to keep in mind, with an excellent location and a good quality/price ratio.

We were looking for a central place to spend the night of January 2nd. This inn meets all the requirements we required. Very close parking, quiet room (street without vehicle circulation), with good heating, television, wifi, and even a refrigerator. Magnificent attention from Mr. Ramón and his wife, owners of the inn, who took great care of us. It is located two minutes from the Plaza Mayor, where there are different restaurants and tapas establishments. Without a doubt, highly recommended. We will be back.

Clean, comfortable basic accommodation.

A very nice place to stay if you have the good fortune to visit Montblanc. The proprietors/owners of the hotel are very nice people. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast wasn't served when i stayed, but the bar on the main square served a good sized bacon sandwich and coffee. Montblanc, although quiet, is a lovely place to visit, and i would hope to return there again. This hotel is a very good choice.

Good price value relationship

If you're looking for a simple place to stay without much luxury but nicely set, then this is a good place. Located within the town walls near a playground and perhaps 2 minutes away from the central square. Over Christmas there was no breakfast, but there are lots of options nearby. The rooms are small but nicely designed. There is shampoo a simple TV and a small cupboard. The personnel and owners are very friendly.

Idiosyncratic

Montblanc is a charming medieval walled town, and Fonda Bohemia Ruiot is located down a narrow cobbled lane guaranteed to wreck the suspension of all but the most rugged vehicles, so I suggest you park outside the walls in the free car park on the corner of Carrer Sant Jordi and Av Dr Folch, and carry your bags in. Ignore any suggestions from your satnav to get any closer! Despite that it does have the modern conveniences of wifi and credit card payment.
Fonda Bohemia is a bit unusual. The rooms don't have names or numbers, but your key will have a picture to describe it; our was the Egyptian room, decorated like King Tut's tomb, with a hieroglyph on the keyfob.
The room was spacious enough, and the bathroom fine, but I'm afraid that's where the positives end. There is no air-con, so except in winter you need to keep the windows open at night. While we were there, parties were being thrown on the nearby Placa Catalunya (every town has one), playing very loud (as in ground-shaking) rock music until dawn the next day; plus the locals congregated outside our window speaking loudly until well into the night. Combined with the very hard bed, we got hardly any sleep at all.
So if you could sleep through Armageddon and like sleeping on a board, fine; otherwise, beware!
We didn't eat here, but there were plenty of locals coming here for Sunday lunch, so it must be OK...I guess.

un lugar donde vas una sola vez...

E’ dentro muralles con torri medievali, ma questo appartamentino dà una sensazione di vetustità e di povertà, con la sua luce fioca “quella da 30 candele” di memoria gucciniana, l’affaccio deprimente: solo per sosta celere, tranquillo e frigomunito.
