The treatment and cleaning

Excellent treatment, very clean. I have felt at home. Elena, the owner, a woman's love. I will return without a doubt. Excellent location. Breakfast very correct and appetizing.
We parked at the same door without any problem. Highly highly recommended. Thank you Elena for the experience.

Infernal mattress

The mattress in our room was terrifying. We requested a double bed and slept on two small mattresses that must be 30 years old with foam on top.

Very good value

I stayed here for 3 nights in October. The room was plenty big enough with a decent bathroom and the hostel was very clean. Breakfast was included in 30 euro price although only available after 9 am and fairly basic. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

Loved it

I couldn't disagree more with Valencian. We stayed at La Muralla for a few nights and thought it was great. Its fairly basic but spotlessly clean and very well-managed. We found the breakfast to be really well-done for a continental. We did have to choose when we signed in whether or not to have breakfast there - obviously Valencian did not understand the local customs. I would go back in a flash (and likely will within the next year). Morella was a great place where you could almost feel what it would be like to live in Spain.

Rude con-men

First let´s start with the positive points. Morella is a very pretty town. The view on the approach is fantastic.
We stayed in La Muralla in room 112. The room was dark and dingy with a view onto a dark patio. When I went downstairs I was ignored as the phone rang at the same moment as I arrived at the desk. I said that I didn´t like the room as it was too dark and asked if there was another one available (it was 2pm), the answer was that they were full and there was nothing else.
The next morning when we had showers and the bathroom completely flooded. It was uncertain how it had happened as the shower curtain was across , we assumed that it must have escaped from the drainage pipe. So I spent arouns 30 minutes mopping it up.
When we went downstairs the breakfast looked terrible and the breakfast room was really noisey with loads of kids running around. So we decided to skip breakfast.
When we went to pay we were given a bill of 46€ and not 40€ as advertised on the wall. When I commented the owner said that the 6€ is for breakfast, when I told him that we didn´t have breakfast he said that we booked a room with breakfast. I then pointed to the official price board he repeated that we had booked a room with breakfast and breakfast was available, it was our fault that we didn´t have it. To this I gave him 40€ and said that I wasn´t going to pay for a breakfast that we didn´t have. Then he started saying how it´s always better with Spanish guests and foreign guests are always trouble!
AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!!
