Fantastic family holiday – would definitely return!
We’re currently on day 5 of 7 of our stay at HSM Lago Park and honestly, we’ve had such a lovely time. We’ve been really lucky with the weather, which always helps, but the hotel itself has been brilliant.
The hotel has been done up beautifully, it feels fresh and well looked after. The rooms are quite basic, but they’re clean, comfortable, and absolutely perfect for a family of four. We stayed in room 1121 overlooking the pool, which was a great spot. The cleaners are friendly and do a great job.
A special shout out to Havi the lifeguard, he’s been amazing with the kids, really playful and friendly, and just a genuinely lovely person to chat to. Erika at the kids club has also been fantastic, our children have loved it! They’ve been chefs, pirates, and loved making sand ornaments.
We’ve been treated to complimentary tapas and shots by the pool most days by the very attentive Marga.
The whole place has a really relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere which we’ve loved.
It's a great location, just a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous beach, with lots of shops close by.
We’re not usually the type to return to the same hotel as we like to try new places, but we would happily come back here. The value for money has been excellent and we’ve genuinely loved every second.

The location is nice, close to several restaurants, the beach, bus stop, etc. The breakfast and brunch was maybe a little bit boring, but good enough. The coffee was horrible unfortunately. The people at the reception and in the bar by the pool were really friendly and helpful. Kids club had some nice activities for our two year old, so that was also nice when we wanted a break from the sun and the pool. Would definitely recommend this hotel, and would be happy to go back.

Great place that was close to the beach and some good restaunts. Had a fair amount of ants in the room, though.

Great residence hotel in Playa de Muro
Central location in Playa de Muro.
Rooms are spacious enough for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children).
Minimal kitchen but equipped with everything necessary for a beach stay.
Decent cleanliness (the cleaning of the dishes definitely needs improvement).
Bathroom products provided by the hotel.
Small but functional pool with lifeguard service.
International baby animation (not used except for about an hour), minimal but available for those who would use it (we generally do not take advantage of it).
Unlimited brunch from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM is not bad, perfect for breakfast but a bit limiting for lunch, especially for Italian customers and for children or those with food allergies, but worth trying (the offer remains the same obviously for breakfast and lunch, and for lunch, if there were grilled meat or fish or even pasta, it would be perfect; instead, we found hot dogs and nuggets...)
Minimarket everywhere, Eroski is 1.3 km away where you can do a more substantial and economical shopping for home-cooked meals.
Beach just a few hundred meters away, crystal clear sea and white sand
Pharmacy 100 meters away.
Free parking nearby.
We will definitely return if we come back to this area

Except stay
We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of June into start of July as a family of 4, kids aged 8 and 10.
Premium apartment - everything you could possibly need. Modern and clean. Excellent air con (not noisy). Best shower we’ve ever had abroad. Clean towels every day and room was cleaned every day except for Wednesday and Saturday.
Excellent brunch with a wide variety of foods, coffee and drinks. Kids loved this and set us up for the day. Cocktails were top class, mango mojito was our favourite. €11 for this cocktails and worth it. Food at the snack bar was delicious and reasonably priced.
Pool area was perfect, no stress, relaxed environment and no crowds looking for sun beds. We were able to get a sunbed at different times in the day with no issues.
Perfect location, 3 minutes to the most beautiful beach where you can rent sun loungers for the day. Also boat trips and water sport available here. Many supermarkets nearby for snacks or groceries if you want to cook. We didn’t cook here as ate out each evening.
We tried 5 different restaurants and enjoyed every meal. Playa Muro is a busy wee town with lots of souvenir stores and shops. Fabulous Irish bar across the road called Posh Paddies which had live music Friday and Tuesday night which was great.
I read other comments about a noisy bar - this was only noisey for the World Cup matches and rightly so - people are out enjoying their time supporting their country. Other than the matches, no noise at all.
We went to Alcudia Old Town one evening - €10 in a taxi - well worth the visit. Beautiful place. Also went to Hidropark for a day. Great waterpark for the kids ages.
Overall I rate this apartment highly. Brilliant location, amenities and town. The staff in HSM Lago were fantastic - we will definitely be back again.
