Visually beautiful modernized 3 star hotel with friendly staff
The “Aparthotel Mar Blue” is a 3 star hotel in the center of Peguera, which stands out visually positively from the whole “boxes” in Peguera. It is bright, friendly and airy to look at.
The location is, as it is only a few 100 meters from the beach, to be described as good.
The hotel was really nicely modernized a few years ago. The apartments are, already as a standard apartment, sufficiently large, simple but quite original. There is a mini-kitchen with the most necessary utensils, two sofas, a slightly too small TV, quiet effective air conditioning, a wide bed with good mattress and a small nice bathroom with shower - all as can be seen on the homepage. The small pool we had not visited.
The breakfast is equivalent to a 3 star hotel and was so far ok. Great: Eggs are freshly prepared! There is primarily watermelon but also alternately other fresh fruit. Otherwise, everything you need for breakfast. Unfortunately, the only coffee machine produced gruesome coffee. The large dining room is not inviting. Dinner we cannot rate because we had not booked it.
With a few exceptions, the staff were very friendly. The guest audience consisted primarily of families, elderly couples and groups.
Up to here, we would have rated the “Mar Blue” with 5 stars – an “excellent” for a 3 star hotel.
Since I was already in Mallorca in May, I asked the (always nice) receptionist (Christina) on the spot that if we came as a family in August, maybe we could get a nice apartment. She said she couldn't promise anything, but she could try. She left it as a wish in the computer!
What did that do us? We were booked into one of the two least popular apartments (601, 602) with sea views in the 6th floor. Floor directly at the elevator.
We were really disappointed and - honestly - mad! Apartments 601 and 602 are located on the 6th floor. Floors have sea views and are furnished like the others, but only have a smaller balcony, which is totally unpleasant and not inviting to linger. The noise of the air conditioning of a hotel opposite (Villamil) is annoying and you look at dried-up trees and a high-rise. Bad!
We said that right after the reception arrived and Paula said we had booked and got sea views. Christina should fix this. Two days later we were allowed to switch to one of the much nicer located rooms forward with a large balcony and were finally happy and satisfied. However, we were “allowed” to pay 40 euros for the move – we had not experienced it like this before. Incidentally, we were confirmed by the reception that rooms 601 and 602 are not among the “beautiful” apartments (name I am not saying here).
We perceived the obvious ignoring of a guest's personal request as unappreciative.
This behavior alone would have deserved “a star” but we don’t want to evaluate personal sensitivities here, but rather remain fair.
Conclusion: The Aparthotel Blumar is a really nice 3 star hotel and absolutely recommended.
Avoid all apartments facing west!
The best apartments have south orientation. The best sea views towards Platja Gran de Tora are found in the larger apartments on the 6th and 7th floor. Stock, but these cost more.

Birthday treat
Myself and my partner were away for her birthday, we have never stayed in this location before. On arrival at the Novo Mar the aparthotel looked very clean and classy. The welcome from the reception staff was polite, professional and very informative. We had booked a superior apartment suite with a sea view. Oh my goodness, the apartment was amazing, the view was incredible, overlooking the beach and hillsides. The room was bright and clean. We will definitely be returning to the Novo Mar.

Not suitable for non-smokers- pity.
We had booked an apartment with sea view. At our arrival this was not yet free and we stayed 1 night in another apartment. The next day we were able to move. Cost us a day of vacation, however. As compensation we received the safe worth 30€ free of charge. The apartments are modern and practical. They are very clairvoyant, the snoring from the next room was clearly audible. Unfortunately, smoking is allowed on the terraces. Thus, the smoke moved not only directly onto the terrace but right through the whole apartment. The doors could not be closed from the outside either. So you could choose - sit indoors or smell of smoke in the whole apartment . The whole thing was then topped after a guest change directly below us. Stoners moved in after the chain smokers.
We had booked with breakfast. That was pretty good. Fried egg and omelette were available daily. The coffee machine made a good coffee. Otherwise it was a normal breakfast offer.
Room cleaning was ok. Several times the towels were collected but no new ones were put down again. we often did not have cleaning done, as it did not fit into our schedule. Mostly the cleaning was after 3pm - which was just too late for us. The staff was always nice, friendly and helpful.
We would not spend another holiday here.

Good hotel, good Service
Good apartment hotel, good Service with targeted pool. Lots of different chillout places. Modernly furnished rooms, newly renovated. Parking space reservation possible.

Very freindly aproachable staff especially on reception. Only booked breakfast but it was good plenty of choice .beds very comfortable nice clean towels every day if wanted .
