I booked this room because my only travel concern is a comfortable bed in a clean room. I cannot overestimate how helpful the entire staff was. It seems to be a family run hotel. Nobody in this part of Spain seems to speak English. They still managed to help me at every turn with charades and Google translate. The view of the beach and castle from the restaurant are perfect and the food was good too.

We enjoyed our stay because of the beauty of the city. Check in was slow but easy. Couldn’t access Wi-Fi, room was fine for overnight travel. Breakfast was very basic and served late around 9 am, but the restaurant staff were amazing and very helpful. If you plan to catch up with your trip plans, don’t waste time waiting for the breakfast. Bathroom was smelly, but this kind of a problem in general in Spain streets. Apart from that I enjoyed the stay in the area.

stayed one night here by finding out the last minutes. The hotel just went to the off season, but it was perfect deal for us. it is located in front of the sea, walking distance from the castell de Peniscola. The owner and staff were very nice. The room is more like hostel, but perfect for short stay like us.

Enjoyed our stay here, got in early at 1.45.pm and didn’t seem a problem to the staff. Room ok for the price and we had a sea view. Breakfast was great and the young man that served us was fantastic and very engaging. He also helped us out by lending us his phone to call next accommodation as there was a problem. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place. PS lovely little town with such a neat castle to wander around.

I don't recommend it.
I understand that there are businesses that do not want the theme of “gift chests” because they pay them less than if they book directly to customers. But the platforms of those chests, they advertise the premises, and they have to pay for it somehow. If any business does not want to belong to those platforms, remove their ads from their websites and so on.
I had a Wonderbox chest of 2 nights (3 days) but from “reception” they told me that they could only give me 1 night. Also, I had to pay €20 extra, I don’t know why (I guess to recover what stops entering Wonderbox). We were told that check-in was at 16:30 and check-out at 11:30 in the morning. I doubt if I would have asked for full board when I would have been fed.
As we arrived early (12:00 pm) we approached the hotel to tell them that we were already there, in case there was a possibility, to be able to enter the room earlier to unpack bags and go to know the surroundings. I was quite surprised to see that there was no reception. It was a corner of the bar at a bar. His response was flat. Until 16:30 they don't make tickets.
At 16:30 we returned to the bar to make the entrance, and the card did not work to open the door. I had to go to the restaurant twice to get them to try and fix it for me. Then we realized that there was no toilet paper in the room and when we called to ask for it, we were told that they would take it when they could. The room had the catch that you heard a lot of street noise. The shower towels were for renovating
Breakfast, normal, but fine.
Overall, the cleanliness of the room was correct, but to my mind the treatment of the property is improveable. I do not recommend it at all.
