My description of my experience.

The hotel is beautiful.
We were well received at the front desk. The housekeeping staff is friendly. The manager is really very nice... he listens to his guests, he talks to them, he asks them if everything is going well,...
The rooms are beautiful. The buffet is good and diverse.
But the entertainment is lacking and when there is some, it is not very dynamic. The activity staff does not let people know that there are activities,...
And the pool is cold in the morning.

Highly recommended this hotel.

We are very disappointed with our stay at htop Hotel Platja d’Aro.
Upon arrival we were first given a room that did not match what we had booked. Fortunately we were transferred, but the second room was unfortunately even worse.
The shower leaked, causing a pool of water to keep forming on the floor. The staff ran a mop through it once, but the leak itself was not solved. The bathroom was dirty and in the shower was something very similar to mold. It absolutely did not make us feel that the room was cleaned properly.
Also in the wardrobe were dirty spots and dust everywhere that had clearly not been cleaned for a long time. The bed also slept very badly; you could just feel the springs through the mattress.
We reported our complaints several times, but did not feel that they were taken seriously. That was very disappointing.
The only positive thing about this hotel is the location. Furthermore, we absolutely cannot recommend this hotel and we will never come back here.
We took photos and videos of the state of the room, because we honestly couldn’t believe that a hotel room in this state was rented to guests.

Great

Hotel is fine if groups of young people don't bother you.
Entertainment for young and old is great.
The outdoor bar is great!! Especially when Nuria is working :)

Never again

We had booked two nights in an economy room. Economy should never mean dirty, yet the surprise was immediate: hair in the bed, stained walls, a general impression of neglect unworthy of an establishment advertised as 4 stars. Fortunately, we had taken photos and the manager reacted quickly by changing our room, for which I would like to thank her.
But that is not enough to erase the first impression.
A 4-star hotel must guarantee a minimum of cleanliness, regardless of the room category. We will not return and I will not recommend this establishment.
A 4-star hotel that is only worth 2 is shameful.
