The hotel is very basic, you check yourself in and the reception runs at certain hours of the day.
The appartment block is currently getting renovated which we weren't told about so the entrance is dark and full of cement and stuff, hotel itself is unaffected but loud works started at 8am.
Bed is quite small and uncomfortable, it's ideal for a short stay.
Hotel is clean, bathroom was good.

Good and affordable

The exterior appearance does not do it justice. The rooms are quite comfortable and quiet, and the price is very interesting.

Good quality - price.

To highlight the kindness of the owners and the facilities they provide for us to enter and be comfortable. The truth is that it is very well located. We went to take the girl to the residence in her first year of university and it was 13 minutes walk and 3 minutes by car. You can't hear the noise from the street at all. Very comfortable beds. The only bad thing, to give it a but, is that you can hear everything inside. The walls of the rooms are made of paper. You can hear the shower, flushing the toilet and even the neighbors' conversations. That's the bad thing. But otherwise, fine.

Budget Hotel in a Great Location

Jorge at the front desk provided exceptional service. The quad room was larger than expected and very comfortable. There was even a table in the room (but it had only two chairs instead of four). The room darkening blinds were great. Ask for a room in back. The quad room on the street was pretty noisy and the room also reverberated from a nearby nightclub. Thank goodness we brought ear plugs! Parking on the weekend was a problem. There was no street parking, so we had to park in the hospital parking garage (14 euros per day). Hostal Goya is ideally located! It's an easy walk to the Plaza.

Overnight stay on the way home from Portugal.

Very friendly receptionist, only difficulty was knowing that there was no parking at the Hostal but we used the hospital parking for security. 14.30€ for 24hrs.
The Hostal accommodation was clean and comfortable if a little basic. No facility for making a cuppa which is always useful. Salamanca is definitely worth a visit.
