Great, well run family hotel
We stayed here for three weeks half board studio sea view. The room was very spacious and had everything, and more, than you need. All the staff were very friendly and professional throughout our stay. Large balcony and shower room. Very clean and house cleaning staff ensured we had changes of towels daily. The pool area and large garden terrace at the hotel rear was immaculately laid out. Great location with local beach and very short boardwalk into the Salou area.
This is a well run small family hotel, which is reflected in the size of the pool
and restaurant but you never had to wait for tables and there were plenty of sunbeds.
Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel enough if you want to be in a quieter area but close to town.

Don't waste your money
Went with Jet2, flight and transfers no problems whatsoever. Different story when it comes to this aparthotel. The receptionists (all apart from Yulia) were an absolute joke, especially the Chinese girl whose understanding of the English language was extremely limited to say the least, were no help whatsoever with any questions or concerns we had. Firstly the good points - the air con in the room is excellent, as is the security blind, as is the shower. Now the not-so-good points, the food is ok, most of it is edible, however, we found the paella very mushy, the fruit was sometimes dodgy (split bananas etc), and the meat tended to be chewy on occasions. There was free water on the tables at teatime along with a bottle of wine with a price tag on, if you did not open it they would remove it from your table. The waitresses virtually took your plates away whilst you were finishing off your last bite of food.
Our room was on the ground floor level and we found ourselves visited by cockroaches on 3 separate occasions, they appeared in the bathroom and we complained several times, a spray was used but this seemed useless, we resorted to sleeping with the bathroom light on all night and made sure the plugs in the sink and shower were closed all night. The Jet2 rep who visited 2 days before we flew home was very apologetic.
The pool area was ok, however, we had no choice but to purchase our own sun Brolly as there was never enough to go round.
The absolute worst thing about the albatross was the cleanliness, or lack of. I am a cleaner myself and to be honest I would love to be the cleaning supervisor here, I would soon sort the problem out - do they never have an audit? There is quite a lot of glass around the building, usually with added smears, handprints or just filth. The handrails are sticky, they only get wiped on the tops (I witnessed this), the lift is just disgusting, it doesn't take much to give it a daily wipe over, we were there all week and it was never done. Please somebody give me this job, I'd make sure all the cleaners did a thorough job.
Looking out from the dining room I noticed a used drinks cup which somebody had left on a windowsill, it was there for 2 days, it could probably still be there!
Due to these issues we will not be visiting here in the future, I suggest you read my review carefully before deciding to stay here.

Summer Holiday in Salou
The Albatros Apartments were excellent. They were spacious, very well equipped, and the two-bedroom apartment was one of the main reasons I chose this accommodation, as it was perfect for our needs.
As the complex is not too large, it offered a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, which was reflected in the excellent service we received throughout our holiday. We had two generously sized bedrooms, two modern bathrooms, a comfortable living area, and a very large balcony with stunning views overlooking the sea. The apartment was exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed and more, making it feel like a home away from home.
I would particularly like to recognise the outstanding customer service provided by the staff. Whether at breakfast, dinner, or the pool bar, they were always warm, friendly, attentive, and prompt, greeting guests with a genuine smile. Their professionalism and willingness to help really enhanced our holiday experience.
The housekeeping team also deserve praise. They did an excellent job each day, and it was always a pleasure returning to a spotless, fresh, and beautifully presented apartment after a day out.
I would also like to mention the maintenance technician, who was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. He quickly resolved a minor issue we experienced in the apartment, and his prompt response and courteous manner were very much appreciated.
It was difficult to find anything negative about our stay. The only area that could be improved was the reception service. While the staff were efficient, they were not as warm, engaging, or customer-focused as the teams working in the restaurant, pool bar, housekeeping, and maintenance. Even so, this was only a minor point and did not detract from what was an excellent holiday experience overall.

GOOD HOTEL FOR THE PRICE !!
Hotel located at the top of hill, so not so good for people with mobility issues, or pushchairs.
Situated between 2 beaches, platja dels capellans, and platja Llarga on the edge of Salou.
Check in - you need your accommodation voucher, so print it off and take it with you, they will ask for it, also makes it quicker. If you are on an early flight, you will have to wait for your room.
5 floors, higher up, better views. 2 lifts, worked quickly, 1 lift down to restaurant and luggage room, other to reception.
Rooms - very spacious, 2 large beds, bed settee, TV, 5 English channels.
Kitchenette - fridge ( no ice compartment ), hob, microwave, sink, kettle, toaster, coffee pod machine ( 3 Pods included ). Washing up bowl, liquid and sponge. Crockery, cutlery, pans, utensils. Really well equipped.
Bathroom - large walk in shower, 2 shower heads, free shower gel, hairdryer.
Safes are in reception.
Balcony - table, chairs, sun lounger, clothes dryer.
Breakfast - tea, coffee, juices, water, Full English - bacon, sausages, beans, fresh cooked tomatoes, scrambled eggs, fried eggs and omelettes cooked to order.
Ham, salami, chorizo, cheese. Cereals,chorrios, pastries, fresh fruit. Bread, toast.
Not a huge selection,but all good quality, hot, and replenished well.
Dinner - free jug of water, salads, soup, cheese, bread, meats, pasta and sauces, chicken, pork, steaks, also cooked to order, fish. Chips, potatoes, rice, veg, paella, pizzas. 2 - 3 hot food choice - chilli, meatballs, chicken and mushroom, varied each night. Cakes, ice cream, fruit.
All food hot, and cooked well.
Reading room, with free books, free gym, swimming pool with sun bathing area, also one round other side of hotel, with children's play area.
Bar, snack bar, outside seating, where singers and entertainment would perform on an evening. Arcade games, pool table, table top football.
Reception, and restaurant staff, not on the friendly side. Take your plates away quickly. Staff filling up food and the house keeping team very friendly.
Wouldn't pay extra for a sea view, as people we spoke to, didn't get what they expected.
Bus stop outside hotel - to centre and other resort.
We booked with TUI, the transfer pick up was across the road at the 4R playa park hotel, so give yourself enough time to get there. I think Jet2 is the same.
If you can get a holiday for a decent price, you will get a good holiday.
We have already booked to go back next year.

Great time lovely aptmbts
The hotel was a lovely location near the beach and far enough away from the strip of clubs,bars and shops which is how I imagine benidorm.
On arrival our room wasnt ready so we were asked to wait until 4pm but asked at 2pm and we got in. There is €200 holding deposit for the room which is quite a lot of your spending money if you dont expect it! Everyone on reception was nice, all friendly and helpful and the apartments were clean in all areas,reception, bar toilets etc. Bar prices were reasonable €2 for coffee, half pint €3 slushes and nice bar staff too. We only ate their once which was pizza and chips, fine for snacking.
Pool area was busy and some people are up early to get their sunbeds but we spent more time at the beach and by afternoon there were always free sunbeds round the pool, nice lifeguard and views and a baby pool.
We had a studio for 3 which was perfect, clean with a nespresso machine, brilliant air con, shutters and blackout blinds. Maids were in everyday and left clean towels, refilled soap,made beds etc.
It is at the top of a hill worth noting, around €4 taxi
