Stylish Mountain Hideaway

This is a truly fabulous place to stay; a beautifully renovated little finca, comfortable and cosy, stylish and well appointed, full of original Canary Island character. We stayed for one week and absolutely loved it. The house is completely private and not overlooked. It is hidden away in a sunny spot in the mountains with stunning views of the dramatic countryside all round. It’s a dreamlike beautiful place, a little paradise. The finca is tastefully furnished and well appointed with an amazing attention to detail and with lots of thoughtful personal touches. The house is completely renovated to a modern standard. It has everything you need. The kitchen is big and a joy to cook in.
The location of the house is a 20 minute drive from the nearest village where one can find shops and restaurants. But it’s best to do the grocery shopping in one of the big supermarkets near the airport before you arrive at the finca. The local shops are small but have all the basics. We cooked every evening as we felt it was a bit far to drive to a restaurant. In the daytime we explored the surrounding countryside. There are many opportunities for stunning hikes in the mountains. The house is in a perfect location for discovering all the islands interior has to offer.
Some people might find it a bit hard to get to the finca and should be aware of the access issues. You have to drive 15 minutes down a winding single track road. For parking you have to use one of the small lay-byes. After that you walk a few minutes down a rather steep, rough track to reach the house. Anyone with mobility issues might find this difficult and struggle to carry suitcases and groceries down. It didn’t bother us at all, it is the price you pay to get to stay in such a beautiful, off-the-beaten-track place in total privacy. Absolutely worth the effort and magical when you get there. I highly recommend it. This is a very special place.

Silent stay

We were in Gran Canaria 2 weeks and several places. This place will leave us the best memories. We staid 4 nights. Good to know:
Narrow roads and small parking
Great views
Families should consider:
The house consists of two rooms. The bathroom is in one room but kitchen in another. Both rooms are separated (you need to go outside of the house).
The host may leave a small surprise for you, we got a flag of our country. Dishes and interior was superb. The host was nice.
