Room was exactly as it looked in pictures and was immaculately cleaned. Ideal location as well.

Expectations disappointed
We stayed at the ABBA hotel in San Sebastian for three nights from August 13 to 16, 2026, and we were very disappointed with the property for a number of reasons:
the room was tiny (four square meters plus the bathroom), there is less than 50 cm of space around the bed, and the second suitcase therefore necessarily had to be placed on the floor.
The non-existent breakfast is comparable to a family-run guesthouse: only one jar of jam, the cappuccino/coffee upon request were prepared with an automatic dispenser
The price is higher than a 5-star hotel, and the only positive aspect of the hotel is the location and the exterior appearance of the building, including the terrace.
The price-quality ratio is absolutely incomparable.
We will certainly not stay at the hotel again!

First San Sebastián visit
We enjoyed a 4 night break at this hotel and were not disappointed. The location is very central with all the transport links close by and easy access to all the major sites.
The hotel itself is clean and comfortable with very helpful and informative staff. We occupied a corner room which had all the amenities you would expect. The hotel also offers a rooftop garden and bar.
If we return to the city ABBA San Sebastián would be on our list.

Great Stay at ABBA San Seb
Stayed at the ABBA for 4 nights and had a great experience.
The rooftop bar and views are stellar.
The rooms had plenty of space, were regularly cleaned without even noticing the cleaning staff.
The location is perfect. We spent a lot of time doing pintxos across the bridge in Old Town, so it was nice that our hotel forced us to spend some time in Gros across the water which is just as lovely.
We did not spend much time in the lobby, at the bar, or at the restaurant so can't speak to the quality but it's not a very large area.
Would definitely stay here again and the price is completely justified with a good experience.

Looks great from the outside and has an excellent location but is definitely a run down travel lodge on the inside.
