Amazing stay … if your French
Just got back from a fantastic week in palas Pineda great location 20 mins from airport, quick walk to the bars/restraunts, water park is walking distance and beach just on your doorstep.
Hotel food was really nice and a good variety we especially loved the bbq nights, room was good size modern bathroom bedrooms a little dated and not much space for clothes as Family of 4 we had to leave our clothes mainly in the cases.
Pool was amazing and entertained the kids all day with slides and kids water play park and an area for smaller toddlers although it was salt water which I’ve never experienced before.
The only downfall which is such a shame is the whole staff speak in entirely French and Spanish so we couldn’t understand ANY of the entertainment though they played English music, they did pool games in the day where we were never asked to join in and we didn’t understand what was going on we even heard one mutter English and walk right past us.
The bar staff were also quite rude particularly 2 of the older ladies and they didn’t understand English at all, one wouldn’t even look at you as she was handing the ice creams over. I asked for a small rose with ice and a red wine and got a pint of red wine with ice one night.
The staff that were quite helpful and were able to speak some English was Alex and Santos and a lovely Yorkshire lady behind the snack bar was really helpful!
Shame because I’d go back if we were included a bit more as we found ourselves going out at night more to the bars spending money.
Recommend a day out to Tarragona, market at salou on a Monday and water park, graffiti bar did amazing cocktails, and had a lovely meal on the beach at La Mariteka.

Fantastic.
Our vacation at Hotel Palas Pineda in Spain was in short fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly atmosphere, a smiling staff and a feeling that here was the focus of the guest experience. After a week at the hotel, we can say without hesitation that it is a place we would love to return to and that we can warmly recommend to others.
One of the biggest advantages of Hotel Palas Pineda is undoubtedly its location. The hotel is perfectly located with a short distance to the beach, restaurants, shops and other activities in the area. It made it easy to get around without the need for a car, and we could enjoy both relaxation and experiences in the nearby area. The beach was within a few minutes walk and the area around the hotel was both cozy, safe and well-maintained. For families, couples or older travelers, the location is ideal as everything is easily accessible.
One of the things that made a special impression on us was the disability convenience of the hotel. It is clear that accessibility in both common areas and facilities has been considered. There were good access conditions, elevators and the possibility of getting around the hotel area easily. For guests with reduced mobility or wheelchair users, this is a great advantage and helps ensure that everyone can have a relaxing holiday without unnecessary challenges. Unfortunately, this is not a matter of course in all hotels, but here we found that availability was a natural part of the hotel's interior.
The food at the hotel also deserves great praise. The buffet was varied and inviting with a wide selection of both local and international dishes. Every day offered new taste experiences, and the quality was generally very high. There was something for everyone, whether you prefer fish, meat, salads or vegetarian dishes. Breakfast was a special pleasure with freshly baked bread, fruit, eggs, snacks and many other delicacies, which gave a good start to the day.
The dinner was also a highlight. The selection was large and continuously filled up, so the buffet always looked fresh and inviting. The staff at the restaurant were attentive and helpful, and one felt well received every day. There was a good atmosphere in the restaurant, and even when there were many guests, everything worked efficiently and professionally.
The pool area was another of the hotel’s great strengths. The area was well kept, clean and decorated in a way that invited to relaxation. There were plenty of sun loungers and the pool had a comfortable size, so there was room for both play and relaxation. Around the pool there was a relaxed holiday atmosphere where both children and adults could enjoy the sun and the good weather.
We spent many hours at the pool and it quickly became a natural gathering point during the day. Here you could relax with a good book, take a dive or enjoy a refresh from the hotel’s serving. In the evening, the area was also cozy and welcoming, which contributed to the overall holiday experience.
The rooms were neat, clean and comfortable. The cleaning worked impeccably and it was clear that the hotel prioritizes high standards and guest comfort. The beds were comfortable and the room had the facilities one expected of a good holiday resort. At the same time we experienced a good peace of mind at night, which made it possible to get a good night's sleep after the day's experiences.
The staff also deserves a special mention. Whether it was at the reception, the restaurant or at the pool area, we were greeted by friendly staff who did their best to ensure that the guests felt well. Their service-minded approach created a positive atmosphere and helped make the stay extra pleasant.
It is often the small details that make the difference between a good holiday and a great holiday. At Hotel La Pineda we found that the whole worked. The combination of the good location, the high quality of the food, the disability-friendly facilities, the great pool area and the good service created a holiday experience that we will remember for a long time.

Great for small children but the domestic tourist is poorly looked after
The hotel is great for small children, the pool area is very spacious and safe for them, the buffet is very good for my taste, I have read customer reviews and I do feel that it is very varied with many options including made-to-order cooking and themed nights, Mexican, Oriental... The only thing that fell short for me is the variety of fruit offered at breakfast but the rest is great! For me the worst thing is the French tourism, you feel like they are the owners of this entire hotel complex, I refer to the evidence that there was one night when the show was entirely in French... They must belong to the Marmara club, they have their entertainers who are also rude to non-French children, we experienced the Spain-France final and I am not into soccer but the attitudes of the French were pathetic... As well as the lack of respect and empathy in the pool area which clearly states that smoking is not allowed and they do not care about having a baby next to them with a cigarette or a vape, even with vapes in indoor areas... for the rest of the entertainment team a WONDERFUL treatment, closeness, kindness EVERYTHING... My advice is that you should take a little better care of the domestic tourist. I don't know if we will return, but what I do know is that we had a great time.

Hotel Palas pineda July 2026
Advertised as a 4 star hotel in the resort of La pineda.and all in all it's okay. It has good access to Salou and to terragona on the buses.
The rooms are basic but clean and the cleaners do a great job at keeping the rooms clean daily. The hotel is split into two buildings palas 1 where they have some of the two story apartments which are really nice or the simple rooms with a bed and shower room. I'd recommend spending a bit more to get one of the two story rooms.
The pool and facilities are good and the animation team are very enthusiastic, good with the kids and seem to work really hard.
The entertainment on the evenings was very poor and repetitive and almost completely managed by the animation team who are not the best actors but great with the kids.
Some of the staff were quite rude, I think that the management of the dining service is very strict, they don't like you moving a chair to a different table so that family can all sit together and there was a smell of sewage in the outside seating area The food has a good selection but is repetitive every day. Breakfast is carried over into lunch on the outside garden which doesn't look very appetising hours after it was first cooked.
The guests at Palas pineda seemed to be largely French nationals and were quite rude and abrupt. Most of the staff seem to make announcements in French and in Spanish but not everybody speaks English which left me and my family feeling a little excluded.
I most enjoyed the water zumba which is done at the same time every day and I wanted to take part in the pool party but this happened whilst we arrived on day one and unfortunately was only done once.
The noise of the hotel can be a little loud in the morning with the maintainence team cutting grass and deliveries arriving at 0730 in the morning but during the day and night it's fine and lively with the entertainment team keeping guests active which is as to be expected.
Nice hotel but I don't think I would stay again as we didn't get value out of all Inclusive opting to eat out and watch alternative entertainment due to the poor offering of what was on offer.
